And will listen to anyone who is offering.

Richt says, “Oh yeah, no doubt” when asked if coaching somewhere else is an option.

Doug Samuels @CoachSamz
Richt says he'll listen to "anyone who has interest in me in any area or arena"

There he is Rhoades. He can coach, he can recruit and he will make a good PR splash. Checks all the boxes for me.

Edit and side note: Big job USCw is off the board. They hired Helton per FootballScoop.com.

I honestly believe Richt is why Rhule didn't get an offer yesterday. If Rhodes really wants a CEO type, he has to talk to Richt.

What about Richt and Odom?

Richt is the type of coach that could convince Kul to stay, fwiw.

Richt couldn't win consistently at GA with consistent top 10 classes. He's not going to get consistent top 10 classes here. The UGA logo did most of his recruiting.

Richt never had a good QB after Stafford.

Appears to be everyone in the SEC lately.

QB play around the country is down if you haven't noticed. I mean who is the best "pocket passer" right now?

He probably goes to a MWC or AAC school.

If Odom is not HC he will go to Memphis. Period.

Richt has recruiting inroads in GA and FL but I wish he were still the uga coach. Maybe he could be good but I would rather go with Rhule or Odom now that Herman seems to be out.

Either the kid at Cal or the one at Memphis. Both will be first rounders this year.

Sounds like he doesn't want to be a HC anymore really. Talked about getting more hands on, coaching QBs directly.

I could see him ending up in the NFL as an asst.

Murray wasn't any good?

Everyone viewed Murray as a game manager. UGA had some unbelievable WRs and RBs on those teams and a great defense. Murray's job was not to turn the ball over.

That's not accurate. Murray was a great college QB

His senior year was amazing. All of those star WRs & RBs missed time that year. He carried the team that year 100%

tigercruise is apparently the only one.

Murray is one of like 3 people in history to throw for 3,000 yards 4 straight years. You aren't a game manager doing that.

David Greene was a game manager, he threw for 3,000 once.
Mcelroy was a GM, he never did it.
Mccarron was a GM, he did it once.

Thing is, those 3 guys had championship level defenses so the QBs weren't needed to win games. Murray's defenses, outside of 1 season, were putrid so he had to carry us. And he did, very well. "Game manager" is the last label I would put on murray.
