I dunno. I just think he has done less with more than most coaches out there

He may be the best option he just doesn't move the needle much for me.

But it does help with our biggest problem..recruiting depth.

Having athletes alone overcomes a lot of deficits.

Lately it seems like their Heisman RB has gone down each season and running into these little hiccups.

Also a perennial SEC E contender, and realistically, we can't hope for much more than that.

Let's get it done, Mack.

I'm all aboard the Richt train.

And in the right part of the country.

Every door down south would open for him.

Who is USC (the good one) eyeing for their coaching spot?

Seems that's the premiere job though an could easily lure anyone we had interest in.

If I do have a problem with Richt, it is he doesn't hire good young assistants, he hires names. Maybe to keep UGA fans and admin happy. Not an issue at Mizzou, he can focus on the best candidates.

I don't know enough about Richt to gauge whether or not he'd be a good fit with USC. I think they have Texas-like issues with boosters and administration. Ton of Cali talent though.

USC wouldn't have any interest in Richt. The boosters want a huge hire like Kelly or Gruden or a SC guy.

Richt played QB for Miami as well.

Could be a pull for him if they pursue him.

I have no idea why he is posting here or even care. He needs to go the way of Jagd...bye bye.

USC probably goes after Fisher when the Rams fire him.

As an Arkansas fan I'd not be thrilled if y'all landed Richt. After all, we play you guys every year now.

People kvetch and moan about him but consistent ten win seasons? Yes, please, thank you. At 55 he could be the HC at Mizzou for the better part of a decade and still be in his prime.

He would be a very good get for Mizzou.

I'm on the fence with Richt. He would be or is a solid coach. But would we be just getting right back in the same old rut? Competetive team but just short of the next step? Richt was about at the same level as Pinkel but with more talent and still couldn't get over the hump.

I think the key would be to up our SEC recruiting, which he could certainly do. I see nothing but positives with the hire especially since we aren't a blue blood.

Establish us even deeper into SEC territory, maintain a decent to good program, and hand it off eventually to the next guy with everything in good shape. Why the hell not..
