Good bounce back game.

Now the schedule sets up pretty well for us.

I agree, but they need way better discipline, directly the defense and special teams. If they work that out, Mizzou will be fine, but if not, it will kill us in conference play.

Defense was awesome. Turnovers, pressure, much improved tackling. Cale played just a fantastic game

They have to clean up the penalties before SEC play.

But this was a good showing.

Did Bryant get hurt?

Defense was awesome, but they need to clean up the stupid penalties.

Agreed. That will have to change. All in all very encouraging though. That was the team I expected to see.

Keep it going

Leave it to Mizzou to look awful the previous week and look like the second best team in the East the next.

Just a lot of slop/indiscipline on the defensive side. Special teams sloppy. And of course, just how gawd awful is WVU. Says nothing good for either team that often WVUs best offensive play was a Mizzou defensive penalty. WVU had no run game at all. Didn't even try.

HCBFO took his foot off WVUs neck starting the 3rd quarter. Not sure I like that. Team needs all the killer instinct it can get. Though good to get the backups in for a full 4th. Offense VERY dependent on KB, no help for that I suppose. Little of Roundtree, "O" still seem underused.

SEMO will tell us nothing. SCAR should be a known quantity by then, and we can get a reading.

I like what I saw in many areas, but not sure I can trust any of it.

WVU was small with few play makers. They are a complete rebuild. I was there.

Good win but nothing to brag about.

Good win because this could have went sideways otherwise...

But Missouri loss to Wyoming hurt more than Missouri won against West Virginia. We need to beat South Carolina and Kentucky to make the wins worthwhile.

USCe is hoping to escape the Bama game with no deaths.

Would WVU beat wyoming? I think Wyoming would have handled WVU rather easily.

I don’t know. Texas State was much more prepared for Wyoming than Missouri was, for some reason. Wyoming only managed around 190 yds running and their QB only completed 8 passes for 100 yds and an INT.

This is inexcusable. Once Wyoming starting shifting the TE and putting the the slot in motion, guys didn't know where to look.

On the first TD run, Ulmer was 4 yds from the hole and never got off his heels. The jet sweep motion was covered by the shifting Safety and he had Oliver on the edge. He saw grass and never filled. It doesn't get anymore basic than that.

Ulmer is going to end up back on the bench and transferring at the end of the season. He will get passed up by the freshmen.

Yup, that was really bad. Rock M nation had a nice breakdown of both of those long running plays

Ulmer hasn’t learned anything in all his time here.

I'm surprised with the play of Ulmer, because in his high school highlights he was a big hitter and looked good in press coverage when he was moved to db.
