Proof that Barry is lost...

...is his only response to dog shite play is: "We've got to figure out how to fix it."
Well, no shite, Sherlock.
His "We've got to figure out..." tells volumes that he doesn't know what the hell to do. Good coaches have concrete plans to correct deficiencies. Barry is scratching his head and giving arse pats and attaboys, thinking that will somehow help.
He's truly in over his head, but Sterk will keep him until the last second of the final game...but not a second longer.

When the TV focused on him prior to the game, he was standing on the sidelines and he looked incredibly nervous. He took one of those big gulps of air like a kid getting ready to audition for something and I texted my friends and said "He's as nervous as a schoolboy." He knew something was wrong before the game started. Just my opinion.

Yea he knew if he lost that game he was done. His team came out and played like they knew it too.

He lit into the team heavy after the SC game. They didn't respond. I think at this point, he's running out of ideas to get this group of players to play.
He also realizes that the talent just isn't very good, they refuse to play hard or disciplined, and the fanbase has already buried him. I'd imagine it's very difficult not to feel defeated at this point.

According to who? I've never seen Barry do shite on the sideline other than look at his play sheet confused as frick.

According to people I know that we're in the locker room after the game. If you're looking for fire and brimstone, he tried that...it didn't work.

I agree JQ! The players quit, and let the program down! The fans and know it alls, won't give him the 4 years necessary to right the ship. He needs to resign and save his own career! He's a very good coach, and will land another job in no time at all. Unfortunately, it won't be here at his alma mater!

Then it's pretty simple that the players don't believe in the coaching.
Barry's most hilarious quote was, "We had really good meetings all week".
Well thank god you had some good meetings, that ought to fix the fact your defense can't tackle.

Both him and .Heupel felt like practice leading up to SC and Purdue were very good. Preparations were in place, game plan in place, and Saturday rolls around and the effort and execution is not! Coaching? Or pussies for players?

Obviously they are not responding. His team quit on him and that's a death sentence.
I'm just not sure what people want him to do. There is no magic wand. He's working his arse off and trying different approaches. It's just not producing obviously.
There is no "gee golly fellas. we'll just hope it gets better". The staff is trying. It's just not working.

Why he should be fired ASAP, just like Les Miles was. You need a change in emotion and leadership.
Time for someone to step up.
Time for someone to step up.

If you can't inspire your players or command their respect, you're sunk.
Barry is skunked and there's no way out considering many of these players will be here awhile.
I don't necessarily blame the offense. Stuck in a garbage system running predictable shite.
Crockett should be the most pissed. Most talented player on the team.

They'll let BO ride out the season since its already unsalvageable but they need to fire his arse as soon as the last game is over.

Maybe not fire until 2 games left. That way Sterk gets a jump on the search. He needs to get the guy he wants not wait until everyone else has chosen and we get leftovers.

Agreed. Cant wait until the season is over.

Sterk doesn't have to wait until he fires a coach to start discussions with agents of coaches he's interested in.

I don't give a shite. Give him 10 years. While you're at it, bring KA back.

Which is why they have to go. They had NO IDEA how far behind the curve this team was during spring and fall. They have no idea what it takes for a team to truly be prepped for a season. At this point, only incremental steps can be taken each week. This staff screwed the pooch in the off season.

Well, you might be right, but both of those guys have a lot of experience in getting teams ready for their upcoming opponents! Oklahoma was pretty good when Heupel was there! BO got his defense ready at Mizzou his 1st year as DC to the tune of a top 8 defense in the country. So, to say they know nothing about getting a team ready to play doesn't cut mustard with me, and it shouldn't with you if you look logically at this!

I'll agree with you to an extent on Heupel. He did it in this role before. I will disagree when it comes to BO in his current role. He thought he knew but clearly doesn't.
