People are calling for Saban's head because Bama lost to Ole Miss two years in a row.

This is not a knock on Mizzou, but I'm glad to be a fan of a program that doesn't have lofty expectations every year. I think it would be horrible to be a "win it all or bust" type of sports fan.

I appreciate Mizzou for what they are. An above average national program that is expected to make a bowl every year. Do I hope to see a SECCG win some day or win a National Championship? Absolutely!! Will it be the end of the world if I never see it in my life time. Nope.

Here's to Ol' Mizzou!!

i see straight through your sarcasm.

an 8 win season and all of us intigers will be calling for pinkels head... even though pinkel is the reason our expectations for this program is that high.

Actually no sarcasm at all. Mizzou has set the bar at winning their division. Nothing that's happened in the recent past tells me that Mizzou will exceed those expectations. Maybe if we could win double digit games in three consecutive seasons then that will change. I don't see that happening this season.

So you're saying that's as good as a Pinkel coached team can do? Or are you saying Mizzou is just a program that can't win big no matter what? Because I've heard that argument so many times from Mizzou fans who can't seem to figure out how or why,, it just is.

...and that's the problem with a lot of Mizzou's fans is that they are satisfied with the status quo.(slightly above average)

I guess it all depends on what you view as the "big one." I'd say beating a #1 ranked OU was pretty big. How can you really complain with 3 double digit wins in 5 seasons?

Is Gary Pinkel going to make us the next Bama?

Doubtful.

Are we a team that will compete for a division title and possibly win a conference title?

I'd like to see it before Pinkel goes but my arse won't be chapped if it never happens.

I'd rather be happy about being slightly above average than wanting to slit my wrist because my team got a loss or two like some fan bases. Then again, my expectations, wants, or needs don't effect the production on the field. Maybe you got one, but I never got a call from Coach Pinkel asking me if I was satisfied with the direction of the program.

Then would you be devastated when they had a 10-2 or 9-3 season?

Sorry, I've got better things to do then cry about what 18-22 year old athletes can/cannot accomplish.

Sure I'm happy when they achieve some thing. I think a surprise like the 2013 season makes it feel more special. If I expected Mizzou to go all the way every year then I'd have a lot of disappointing seasons and watching football wouldn't be fun.

There are plenty of normal Tide Fans that do not pull Rant bullshite melts or are Finebaum inbred female callers every year they do not win it all or go 9-3.
