He announced before the combine. I don't know that I would say he was sliding. He was also asked to work out as a LB and that's not what he is.

As for Murphy. He'll make a team. He's too dangerous of a returner not to and I suspect he'll be used as a RB/WR hybrid on offense. I don't think his bench reps matter.

Side note. These guys are amazing. 11 reps of 225 is considered "bad".

Yeah, I'd be lucky to get 225 up once these days.

Sam's stock was dropping almost as soon as the bowl game ended. I remember thinking how can that be when he played outstanding all year and got results against the same guys that would be trying to block him in the NFL.

I hope you're right about Murphy.

My thoughts as well

I still can't lift 200

I'm a soccer player though so it's cool

I can get 225 up once and I weigh about the same as Murphy. I'm taller though, so my long arms hinder my bench ;)

Yeah, he's not getting drafted. Hope he makes it as an UDFA.

IMO (As much as I like him) Murph's only hope is that coaches watch a lot of tape of his ST play. He's no NFL RB.

He seemed much faster on the field. Better kick azz at pro day.

Really surprised he didn't run faster. Although, all the RB times seemed slower this year as a whole. That 40 really hurt him though.

I still think he can make a team once he gets into a camp and teams see what he can do, but getting drafted is likely out the window at this point.

Golden ran a 4.81. That's a good time for him.

This from a regional combine on Vincent

quote:

Lucas was very productive at Missouri and looked impressive during tests and defensive line drills. He may be a solid bet to get his name called on day three of the draft because of the level of competition he played against and combination of size and quickness.

I was always a little surprised he didn't get a little mention. He's no 1st rounder but I always thought he was relatively consistent.

Some scouts take on Golden. Late second best case all the way to fourth round. Says he didn't impress at the Senior Bowl, but he was playing on a bad hammy.

Somebody is going to get a hell of a football player. Some guys just have "it" and he certainly does.

Read that Morse's stock is rising. Went from a 7th or UDFA to possibly a 4th round pick.

Pretty good Morrison article summarizing the draft stock for the Tigers. From Ray all the way down to likely UDFA.
