Predictions? Mizzou opens as an 8.5 point underdog, will be very surprised if that line doesn't move to less than a TD

They have the 9th ranked rush and we have a #1 ranked rush defense.

Mizzou by 7.

I think the Wildcats win by 7. I hope one of our defensive players plants Adrian Martinez into next week.

They look pretty one dimensional on offense, but that one dimension is good with their RD and a QB with dangerous feet.

We out athlete them for sure, but they are a tough/physical team that is well coached. I expect a close game

We're also ranked 5th rush offense.

Games like that often come down to the kicker and punter. Advantage Tigers. 27-21 MIZZOU

This seems like a classic -take an early lead against a run oriented team- type of game.

If we start fast I think we win. If we start like we did last week then kstate by 8-10.

Burden could absolutely scorch them,
especially if we get the running game going early. Martínez is a choke artist, so if it is close going into the 4th…

I’ll take Mizzou 27-23

We have too much speed on offense, and we run up tempo. 4th quarter is where they wear down. 42-23 Tigers.

Hard to say. I’m thinking LaTech really sucks so we can’t use that game as a measuring stick. And I have concerns about down field passing. It’ll be close, I wouldn’t bet either way.

La tech is a better team win than ksu beating south dakota. La tech almost beat nc state and miss st last year and so dakota lost to ku. By the transitive property 24-17 good guys win.

We seem like we can stop their run and kstate receivers suck. Notice the number of times martinez cant find an open man and runs. If your receivers cant get open against so dakota, our secondary will get the job done. We can focus our linebackers on vaughn and martinez.

I like your optimism. Wish I could get there, just haven’t seen enough yet.

I was happy to see the defense play better. But I thought the offense looked like much of the same. Honestly I wouldn’t be upset to see what Abraham or Horn can do this year

I was hoping it wouldn't be a 11:00 game.

I think 8.5 under dogs is quite a bit larger than it should be. I watched some of K State and they didn't look that good.

Yes, they can roll up the yards on the ground if they get in a groove but if y'all can stop the run I don't think they've got the passing firepower to back Mizzou off the line of scrimmage.

Mizzou's secondary got torched multiple times by La Tech. However, Kansas State's qb didn't pass much 11/15, with a qbr of a whopping 17.

I just don't see this team beating Mizzou. I know it's early for stats but still.

Fun fact: Adrian Martinez has 16 career fumbles lost (and 12 fumbles recovered). The NCAA career record for fumbles lost is 21. With how conservatively it seems that K State plays, a forced fumble could be a huge momentum changer this Saturday. Something to watch for..
