Save this thread. Heap praise upon me for my sweet-arse prognostication skills when it's official.

We're back, baby (kind of, sort of, maybe, shite).

They looked like a basketball team last night for perhaps the first time since Kim became coach, albeit against one of the absolute worst D1 teams.

I vacillate between wanting a good season and not wanting one. Kim isn't the answer and won't be 5 years from now either. So I'm hesitant at prolonging his tenure.

literately, only Florida a&m is worse.

They're some things to take note of that don't matter too much against different competition, such as making open shots. That seems to have improved, especially with having Frankie on the team.

I'm of the belief that if you root for a team you want them to have a good season.

Fair enough. I don't consider .500 a good season.

Mizzou has botched the last 2 coaching hires. Probably last year in keeping KA as well. Maybe the new AD will be better, but it's not a guarantee to be better.

Neither do I. You were the one who brought up wanting/not wanting a good season. Nor did I offer parameters.

.500 or better would be much improved. Good season would be in the 20-win range.

.500 or better with all the best players freshmen or sophomores, only 1 senior on the roster. That could be enough to suggest that the 4th season of KA will have a realistic shot of being 20+ win range and a good season with normal development.

I think Sterk will make a decision by the end of calendar 2016. Xavier and Arizona will hand us our asses, but if we lose to any of the early barber colleges and auctioneering schools...and if we don't beat Clemson and Illinois...Kimbo is toast and serious calls will be made.

Only a helluva number of miraculous upsets in conference play could save KA after that.

I doubt we get Clemson. I bet Clemson beats Davidson, so Mizzou will face them. If Mizzou wins against Davidson, then will probably face Northern Iowa.

imma gonna wait to see how bad Xavier goes b4 I get too upbeat.

I am rooting for this team either way. Whether KA is the final answer or not he is recruiting better, and the better he does the better the next guy gets. Rooting against your team's season in hopes of getting a new coach is rooting for disaster.

I'd rather see the team win. Wasnt a fan of the hire but I don't think there were many clamoring to follow Frankie.
