I am hearing AR/MZ against either OK/KS in the Libert.
Arkansas was leaning towards Las Vegas prior to losing to you fine folks today.
Where do you want to go. I am sure you would love to play KS right?

This year SEC affiliated bowls
Sugar Bowl
Orange Bowl
Citrus Bowl
ReliaQuest
Music City Bowl
Gator Bowl
Las Vegas Bowl
Liberty Bowl
Texas Bowl
Birmingham Bowl
2 At-large bowls
Georgia in the playoffs that leaves 10 SEC affiliated Bowls and 10 teams with a winning or 500 record.
Arkansas or Mizzou will probably play in the Independence Bowl. Army is guaranteed a spot if they end the season with a winning record, but they are 4-6. The payout for Ind Bowl is $2.2 million.
Las Vegas Bowl is another destination for Mizzou or Arkansas it pays out around $3 million
Liberty Bowl pays out around $6 million, Texas Bowl pays out $6.4 , the ReliaQueat pays out $6.4 million, the Gator Bowl pays out $5.4 million, and the Music City Bowl pays $5.7 million, so a team from the SEC with a better record or travels better will probably choose one of those 5.
Arkansas or Missouri will probably get the Independence Bowl and the other the Las Vegas Bowl unless Army ends the season with a winning record. Birmingham Bowl is also a option. Auburn played in it last year.

The travel for MU/KU would be hefty even with the records both have. Hopefully the dumbasses in charge do what’s needed.

It's not complicated... Just pick a bowl closest to Missouri and Kansas and stop worrying out the payout or the prestige of the bowl.
I'd even take Illinois vs Mizzou as a good match-up.

If I was the Liberty Bowl I'd move Heaven and Earth to get Missouri vs Kansas. Much like the Texas bowl did everything possible to get Texas vs Arkansas a few years back. There aren't a lot of great match ups this year and that would be one that would draw a crowd.

With the right advertising a Border War bowl could be one of the biggest of the non NY6 bowls. The Hate, the Passion, Redlegs and Bushwackers, Burnt Lawerance and the Burnt District. Glorious.
OF course, I'm old and remember shite the kids don't care about . . .

I remember folks saying Texas vs Arkansas would be a blah match up in terms of interest. The stadium was pretty close to packed and the ratings were great.
Ideally there would be a bowl game in Kansas City to get this game, but Memphis or a Texas city should get a good sized crowd.

Mizzou-Kansas
Arkansas-Illinois
A license to print money for lower tier shite bowls. Naturally we’ll get some other pointless matchup instead.

Please crush him if you get that matchup.
St. Louis media will take any opportunity to steer St. L kids to Illinois.

Mizzou v Kansas
Arky v Illinois
The matchups just make too much sense.

It has to be KU. The drama writes itself. And it could help both progra.s get a better bowl because both have below average fan bases, but both will travel for this matchup. I know me and the boys will be there if it happens.

I want both these pairing to happen. MU/KU and Ark/Il. That'd be some fun football to watch. Listening to ESPN radio here in COMO they were sure talking it up.
