Source confirms Missouri freshman guard Mario McKinney Jr. has entered the transfer portal. I believe

tweeted it first. McKinney has been serving an indefinite suspension.

Do they? There were 5 guards ahead of him this season and all of them are set to return next season.
Needs for next season a grad transfer big if Tilmon goes pro or a scorer that can jump in and be the go to scorer.

You dont want a huge gap in age.
So next year you have:
Pinson and watson who are juniors
Smiths who are seniors
the issue starts 2 years later.
If you dont bring in a or 2 guards soon, you'll have a gap. Not the end of the world if you bring in studs, but, ya know.

2021 will be guard heavy. Maybe they bring in a sit out transfer this spring.

Id take that with a frosh guard in 2021. I just dont want to be stuck with just frosh guards and no upperclassman.

Didn’t say it wasn’t. Although I’m not bothered by transfers. 40% of freshmen basketball players don’t make it to their sophomore season at their first school. The transfer rate for Cuonzo is 30%.

Only 33% of players transfer in their entire collegiate career.
And of those, 60% leave Division 1.

You must have a different source. On the NCAAs website it shows 40% transfer before their sophomore season.

Yes I was off by a year. Minis still at 30% transfer rate. That means someone else will probably transfer after the season. It might take 2 more transfers to get up to the NCAA D1 basketball average.
