There's way to much offensive talent for them to be that bad offensively.

Dont know if this is good or bad for us this week. Interim coach will have something to prove.

I think it only helps Missouri. I had y'all winning by double digits anyways. This will be a huge distraction and I bet a lot of the players are pretty conflicted about it.

Should be interesting. Excuse my ignorance, is this the first time y'all are playing LSU since joining?

We played them in a bowl in the seventies but this is first time in the conference.

Front runners on the job; tom herman, lane kiffin, josh heupel?

Really depends if LF is healthy and can the QB get the ball to Dupree. Dupree is a stud and should be getting targets like Moore gets at Mizzou.

So we put Penton on Dupree like a bandaid, and stack the box on LF.

This will make their crowd WAY fired up, which isn't good for us IMO. Maybe we can take advantage of the distraction...

Dupree was open just about every pass play against Auburn.

Wasn't Orgeron the coach at Ole Miss when we beat them twice back in early Pinkel days?

It doesn't help Missouri, especially if you had us winning big already.

Mizzou coming into LSU and beating them, at night of all things, was going to be a huge signature win.

It will still be nice.

But it will not have the same impact now. It drastically changes what a win means.

A win in Death Valley will always be a good win. I don't care what's happening. Add in that Mizzou is under a new staff themselves, I don't see how you can say it wouldn't have a big impact.

A win means a win.

ETA: saw you said AS big of an impact. I agree, but a win would still be pretty good for a new coaching staff

Orgeron coached USC after Kiffen was fired for I believe 8 games and was 6-2. He got pissed when not offered the permanent job, then went to Ole Miss. As DL coach then back to LSU as DL coach. The kids will play hard for him just like at USC. He was also like 10-25 as HC for Ole Miss before going to USC after being fired from Ole Miss.

They were expecting 50k for the game wih Miles coaching, now its going to sellout. Defense will be fired up at first, but if we execute our offense the first 2 possessions like we did against UGA they will come back down to earth and we will be fine.

They kind of jumped the gun on this.

Usually we play teams and beat them, and then they fire the coach.

Its a fifty/fifty sort of thing I'd wager. Either they come out full of fire or they roll over and play dead. Maybe it will be different with Yaw Yaw in charge but in recent years their players have reacted to adversity by collapsing.

Feel same.

It would have felt good to give the knockout punch.

Maybe they want to Give Ed O a legit shot at the job. Finish the season 7-2 and promote him to HC.

Etling missed an open Dupree in the end zone 2-3 times on LSU's last drive.
