look like?

In my humble opinion the landscape of college football will look very different. I see the power 5 conferences reduced to four with 16 teams each. The Big XII conference will be cannibalized and no longer exist.

The SEC adds N. Carolina State and 1 other team not talked about. (Notre Dame)

East Division
South Carolina
North Carolina St
Florida
Georgia

South Division
Auburn
Alabama
Tennessee
Vanderilt

North West Division
Kentucky
Notre Dame
Missouri
Arkansas

Southwest Division
Ole Miss
Mississippi St
LSU
Texas A&M

Schedule format

Play each team in your pod every year home and away plus teams from one other pod then 2 additional teams from another pod. All games will be home and away. Continue to play every team in your pod but now the other remaining pod plus 2 teams from the last remaining pod.

The SEC will still be the premiere conference.

Faurot Field will seat 94,000.

What makes you think ND would ever join the SEC? Their fan base would melt because they got their arrogant noses so far in the sky. They can make as much or more in the ACC or B1G.

Adding 19Kish to the stadium in 2 decades would require a NC and a couple more playoff appearances.....I'll take it.

I can see Clemson and FSU joking before ND and NCST. Natural rivalries too.

I don't buy into the pod system. I think you'll have 2 divisions with 8 teams in each div. Play everyone in your division plus 1. Maybe an old rivalry. Or can be rotating. The simplest answer would 18 team conferences. That way you would play 8 inside your division and 4 noncon games for home game revenue. No FCS teams. Only Noncon games with D-1 teams, and hopefully some from other power 5 conferences. Strength of schedule will remain a focus for good bowl games and national championship consideration.

It ain't easy reaching the top, nor should it be!

Everyone knows that the P5 conferences will eventually go to 16 teams.....not exactly an epiphany Oz.

The SEC won't go to 4 divisions.

frick ND!

And we'll have 12 natties in FB & 10 in BB.

20 years down the road the cable market and its funding of sports will have been cannibalized. IMO, we could see a return of regional conferences driven by rivalries, stadium attendance and not by TV money.

Mizzou might not even be in the SEC.

How would a conference champion be determined with pods?
