I think some of them end up costing themselves money. I think a lot of people forget there's one ball. Basically if you go to Kentucky you're stuck with the same skill set you came with. I wouldn't want to play in that 5 in 5 out style Cal gets going sometimes either. But it's just like that low 4 star committing to Bama. Everyone knows they'll get buried but they do it anyway.

They already have 5 5-Star players committed.
I'd go somewhere to be the Star/Co-Star, not an extra. Maybe that's just me.

Knox is better than anyone committed to Kentucky. If he goes there he would be the top player for them.
At Mizzou he would be number 2 behind MPJ.
It's also long been assumed that he ends up on Tobacco Road playing for Duke or North Carolina.

Kentucky has 5 of the top 32 players in the country committed.
Even if he is "the best", you don't think there's going to be some serious time shares there?

Skal Labissiere is really the only Kentucky player that has been hurt by going there.

Long assumed sure. Now he is taking an OV somewhere else the weekend before the signing period begins.
Some of you seriously underestimate Zo's recruiting ability. If he's coming we have an excellent chance to sign him.

In future classes I think Cuonzo will win a lot of recruiting battles. Only cal & K have more top 10 commits in the last few classes.

errbody has Knox going Duke.
Porter must have gotten in his ear pretty good to get him to visit. If he's dragging his parents to COMO he's serious, still prob gonna take a lot to move him off of Duke.
Porter is turning into one hell of a recruiter.

Porter has played with most of these 5 star guys in events like the McDAA. He knows a lot of them. I also heard he's been recruiting Brandon McCoy to come play for us.

Division 1 basketball players are as delusional as the average high school athlete. Most of them think they have a shot at playing in the NBA.

Coach Zo also talked with Knox's dad.

It helps that he was also offered by Cuonzo previously. Don't think he's visiting just for fun. Will see what happens, but those 2 on a team would be highly entertaining.

Gabe posted on twitter that he has some interesting info on the message board regarding Knox? Anyone know? Anything interesting?

Powermizzou spoke with Knox sr and he said the idea of MPJ and Knox playing togeather could be deadly.

Gabe said on his facebook talk that Knox ending up at Mizzou is about 10-15% chance in his opinion, but anything is possible.

That sounds about right TBH. After looking at his top 4 schools before we made a run at him, it looks like he really wants to play in the ACC. Duke has talent committed to them already, but it's not too much talent to discourage him from getting playing time like Kentucky.
It also doesn't help that we are recruiting him so late in the game. I know Cuonzo talked to his dad a bit and tried to recruit him at Cal, but I doubt he was in his ear to the level that Coach K was/is.

Might want to look at recruiting rankings. Knox is better than anyone Kentucky has committed.

While that's true, Knox would also have to split playing time with Jared Vanderbilt who is a 5 star and a Mcdonalds All American. There would be little competition at UNC however...

Does anyone else find it weird that he refers to his son as "Kevin Knox"?
