Since the majority of this board lives in or cheers for teams from Kansas City or St. Louis, I am just curious about how you feel about the opposing City's pro sports teams:
Kansas City fans, on a 1-10 scale, 1 being ku-level hatred, how do feel about the following:
-Rams
-Cards
-Blues
St. Louis fans, on a 1-10 scale, 1 being ku-level hatred, how do feel about the following:
-Chiefs
-Royals
-Sporting KC
Inquiring Chicago sports fan would like to know.

I love soccer, but hate MLS(too sloppy). I'd give sporting KC an 8 still.
Chiefs, a 7 cool atmosphere fans are nice.
Royals, a 2. They were a 6 when they were irrelevant, but now most of the fans have become cocky and they're more of a rival now.

I dont have any hate any of the KC teams. Its always been kind of cool having KC usually in the opposite conference/league etc. Can have a team to follow in both.Royals in the AL and Chiefs in the AFC. I was kind of hoping that KC would land an NBA team after the sprint center was completed.

STL here
Chiefs - 10 - I'll root for the Chiefs if the game is on
Royals - 9 - I'll root for them If they're not playing the Cardinals
Sporting KC - 5 - Soccer. Gay. Has nothing to do with KC though.

-Chiefs - Solid 8 - If Rams bail I may have to jump on their bandwagon.
-Royals - We gave them a WS what more can we do? 5
-Sporting KC - What's that?
Make it a 3 but I am not much of a football fan.

KC fan here.
Rams- 6. A wee bit jealous of the GSOT, but nothing too noteworthy. Hard to hate when their own fans don't even care that much.
Cards- 2. Can. Not. Stand. Cards. Only giving a 2 because 1 is reserved for kU. Maybe the most telling point for me is Cards fans who self proclaim "best fans in baseball." Even if you are, you can't say that you are, that's just not right. Sincerely waiting for the Cards to have a sub .500 year to see all the fans that fall off the bandwagon.
Blues- 8. Hockey has officially been passed by soccer as the 4th place pro sport. Don't care about the NHL, but I have a small bit of sympathy when they always lose in the first round. Then I laugh because its fun to see STL people melt over it.
Also a small side note, I hate people who have teams from multiple cities. Obviously its ok for KC people to be Blues fans and STL be Sporting KC fans.
I can't stand Cards and Chiefs fans. You don't get the best of both worlds!! Embrace the suck of the Rams or Royals. Rep your city.
Here's a few articles that sum it up.

Rams
8...Don't mind them and generally cheer for them to win unless it's against KC.

Cards
1....kU fans who wear red. The exact same type of fanbase.

Blues
5....nothing against the Blues but hockey blows.

Espn, SI, FOX, MLB network and Yahoo. Those are all the sites/broadcasts that voted and gave us that name. 97.3% of cardinals fans either hate it or refuse to say it.

St. Louis and I like the Chefs. The others I do not think about

You see, being the best fans in baseball, though, allows us to rise above such petty annoyances and to recognize good baseball wherever it's played. Even those rare occasions that it's played in KC. And I kid. Not a fan of the saying personally.

Oh, and if we drop below .500, we'll still draw about 3 million people for the season.

Royals: 9 - I grew up a huge George Brett fan. Willie Wilson. Amos Otis. Hal McRae. Frank White. Will root for them anytime they are not playing the Cards. As someone already said, they're my AL team.
Chiefs: 9 - Jealous of the tailgating y'all can do for football. Don't follow them as closely as the Royals, but will watch if I happen to turn it on.
Sporting KC: 9 - Don't get to watch much but I am a soccer fan and am jealous y'all got a soccer team. I wouldn't trade the Blues for a soccer team but I'd love to get one here some day. Maybe if the Rams stay in town, the new stadium can host soccer as well.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that I don't dislike the Cards as a team. They are just a midwestern version of the yankees. I don't hate that they win. If the cardinals moved to another city, I'd respect them all the same.
I hate the (i'm sure minority) of fans who are incredibly terrible at humblebragging.
Maybe this year we can finally get another I-70 World Series?

Was bummed that the Cards didn't help make that happen last year. Would be cool if you ask me.

So how much roster turnover did the Royals have this year? Key additions? Any big losses?
Posted on 3/13/15 at 4:20 pm to reedus23
Lost Billy "Country Breakfast" butler to the A's and Nori Aoki to who knows....but added Alex Rios. Kept most of everyone, including resigning some of the young guys.
Pitching staff should be solid once again. lost james shields, but got multiple prospects who came up big in the playoffs (brandon finnegan).
Key to the season will be if Moustakas and Hosmer can finally put their spring training and postseason numbers into regular season form.

I really don't hate the KC teams at all. Just don't like the portion of the fanbase who are fans of that stupid fricking bird

FRICK Sporting KC they are a kansas team. I hope they go under.
As far as the STL teams. I could care less about them. I would root for them as long as it wasn't against a KC team.
