I agree, we can't afford to lose anyone else, with the exception of Rosburg, I would be totally fine if he left.
I know you were saying that in jest, but the fact of the matter is we can't even afford to lose him. And he's fine if ya just don't expect much out of him beyond giving your starter a breather from time to time.

It's not that Mizzou can't and shouldn't recruit top 50 players. It's that the top 50 players have to have a connection/relationship with the university. Can't do like uk/Duke/ku types and offer and be in the door just because of our name, yet.
Now if Mizzou were to go and have 3-4 25+ win seasons in a row with deep tourney runs, maybe we could start doing that.

If that's what he means, I get that.

If he's trying to disconnect our recruiting results from the season we had this year, he hasn't learned much in his first year.

I think Michigan State would be a good model for Mizzou. Recruit players that the coaches believe are top 150 type players. Those players spend multiple years on campus. Always have solid experienced players.

I think that would be great.
Denmon, English, Carroll, Pressey, Dixon were all top 150 players. They don't always look amazing as FR, but they can really become something.
Obviously that's not happening this year.

I agree, we just need to land some top 150 guys first. KA has landed 1 4* ever and he's also the only top 150 guy he's landed. If he can pull in Walton or Eubanks then I'd have at least a little more faith. His recruiting leaves a lot to be desired. There's three 4/5* guys in state next year, he needs to land at least 2 of them, no excuse not too.

Might be hard to land 2 of them considering that as the roster is now Mizzou will only have 1 senior next year. Might have to bank a scholarship or give the last one to a grad transfer.

That's true, but with the amount of transfers we've had each year, I'd bet we have 2-3 scholarships open after next year.

I thought it was pretty telling when KA said it was his first year too and he learned a lot from it. I truly believe he underestimated the jump from D2 to P5 D1. He keeps talking about how much time he's had to invest and how he doesn't get much sleep and stuff. He also acted like he wasn't used to delegating stuff to his assistants like he'll have to at D1, and he said he's never had this much media coverage or criticism. I'm sure its as frustrating for him as it is for us fans, but this is why you don't hire a guy without experience at this level like we did, it's high risk for the amount of reward you might see. Let's hope he can pull it together, but if his goal was 10-15 wins this last year (which is way too low IMO), then what's his goal for this season? I can't see it being any higher than 10-15 wins again.
Exactly. This was always my biggest issue with KA.
