Lots of bad shite from last night. Poor tackling, poor attitude, and deer-in-the-headlights looks from everyone. This was really reminiscent to the 2014 UGA game. Coming off of a disappointing loss at home (2014 Indiana / 2016 UGA), then just forgetting to show up one game. Getting run over by a group of backup RB's, making an average QB look decent (Etling = Hutson Mason), and players getting frustrated and pouty. Good news is we showed up a week later and beat USCe on the road and rallied the rest of the season.

We just need to take a deep breath and be patient. Don't make overreactions after a bad game. I think the LSU we saw last night was the LSU people have been projecting to finish in the playoffs. Orgeron woke their asses up and Mizzou just ran into a buzz saw. I guarantee you wiBO is giving our players an enormous arse-eating as I type this.

We WILL make a bowl. That was the hardest game we'll play all season.

We WILL give UT, UF or Arky a run for their money. Maybe even beat them.

Last night was a PLAYERS game, not a coaches. While we did make some questionable decisions, we could've run out their running the facemelter offense with our best gameplan and still lost. LSU brought a better roster and attitude.

Good news, boys. I looked outside my window this morning and the sun rose! It's not the end of the world. Interim Orgeron's gonna Interim Orgeron and LSU will probably come another Bama game away from winning out.

Come 2017-2018, nobody will want Mizzou on the schedule. TBJ, Lock, Crockett/Strong, and Moore. Think of how good they'll look in the future. Hopefully we can add Jeff Thomas and Chester Graves to that list, too. Have faith in wiBO and realize that Rome wasn't built in a day.

I will say this... I do kind of wish that they'd move us to the west. I think we forget how far we have to go still by playing in the east with the shitty teams there. We think because we can play with a shitty UT, UF, UGA, SC team that we are better than we are. It takes playing LSU or Bama or whoever to remind us. I'd just as soon play in the west so we have a better gauge each year of where we are compared to where we need to go.

The team that played last night (and at WVU) will not win on the road. So scratch UF and UT off that list.

Which is a shame because the reality is neither UT nor UF impress me at all either.

I don't wish we were in the West, but if the West teams rotated through more often the same gap would be highlighted.

Don't disagree with any of that. Never said differently. But neither team would finish in the top 3 if in the west.

fwiw our back up backs aren't scrubs. Guice would likely be starting at almost any other school in the country so he isn't your typical back. Les Miles was just a retard that didn't know how properly use and rotate talent. Its part of why Buga has been hurt this year.

Well we found BO's publicist. Look at his recruiting list, how the hell is he building Rome?

Somewhere in the not too distant future the SEC will expand to 16 in the inexorable march to Super conferences. When that happens the SEC will go to a nine game schedule split into four pods that will play each other in their pod. Then all teams in another pod plus two from one of the remaining two pods every year home and away. Then rotate pods. Everyone plays each other every four years. It allows for much better conference cohesion, although the downside will be alternating years of five away SEC games.

The good news for Missouri is this: Every year Missouri is in the conference there will be more money for facility upgrades.
Compare this to Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois, and the two schools in the sunflower state. Rome wasn't built in a day, but not torn down in one either.
This Mizzou team will be alright. Odom appears to be the right hire for you. Just stay the course.

arse eating wake up calls aside, a team like Mizzou simply cannot compete with that level of talent.

Reality dictates that they probably never will either. Adjusting expectations is a good idea for some of you.

It's the cold hard truth of CFB. Programs like Mizzou will always be fighting the up hill battle, all of the other shite that's gone on is just subterfuge.

I don't have any witty remarks. They got their faces pushed in last night. Being football players, that can't be settling in well today or the rest of the week. I think the Defense was on the field way too much and they were gassed by the second quarter. LSU had trouble with that same line they were pushing around all game long when the D-line decided to get up field. I'd go to Cross and tell him the read and react is going to play a limited role in this defense from here on out.

I seen Mizzou's offense go flat from a lack of execution. That's on everyone's part from the coach down. I wonder where Locks head is from time to time. This means if Odom is smart, he goes to Josh today and tells him he wants a running game and it will feature Strong and Crockett. Witter will be relegated to third down duty. Nothing over 20 yrds in the passing game. Let the big guys up front start to learn to run block.

Well, they aren't going to do that. You don't scrap your defense mid season. They are committed to the monumental mistake at this point.

The offense looked horrible too. We need to chill out on the pace thing, and get the running game going north and south. I believe our first two drives lasted less than 1 min of game time. That's not good unless you are scoring.

Oh I agree. Nothing will change scheme wise. But it should. They still go back to an attack style defense at times now anyways. I don't think it would be that big of a leap, maybe more for the DC than the players. But you're right. They won't change a thing.
