We shouldn't ever lose to programs like kentucky and missouri in the same season.

-unnamed USCe poster.

I dont want to name said poster because I just am not into gloating over this win but yikes. I mean that is kind of surprising take/view/opinion.

Bitterness (at returning to mediocrity) is an ugly thing.

USCe all time win %: .514

Mizzou all time win %: .552

USCe bowls: 20 (8-12)

Mizzou bowls: 31 (15-16)

USCe conference titles: 2

Mizzou conference titles: 15

USCe division titles: 1

Mizzou division titles: 5

I'm guessing whoever said it is a younger USCjr fan that doesn't know their true history. Probably grew up during the Spurrier years.

Literally any metric you want to use, Mizzou is heads and shoulders above USCjr

in fairness I don't believe they were in a conference(ie independent) for a long time.. in the interest of accuracy only, not trying to cover for them.

also we are now .500 against them head to head in conf., so doesn't that put us ahead of them all time I think?

True, I'll give them being independents.

Most historical rankings have them in the 60's while we're in the 30's.

I missed the memo South Carolina was some powerhouse football program. They won the East in 2010.Other than that they haven't won shite. As average as they have been over the course of their existence, I am surprised they look down upon anyone.

I'm guessing he's a younger fan. They should have high expectations for their program, and we should as well. But that comment just smacks of bitterness and frustration over their season so far.

Also, Spurrier has some ju-ju when it comes to us.

As a fan I have realistic expectations. This is not a year I expected to plow through the conference.I am not some delusional fan who predicts the team to run the table every year.

Whatever mojo Spurrier used to have in 2013 is now gone when he stupidly refused to go for the 2 point conversion in the 4th quarter of a 19-14 game from last year.

Made worse when they found out Mizzou actually was held back by our staff. 24 points, could maybe have been worse. I believe we could have scored one more time on that last possession.

Pinkel said post-game that they deliberately kept the play calling conservative, especially in the 2nd half. I believe we could have played more aggressively and scored more. But we didn't need to.

I loved seeing an efficient offense today. I'm just giddy about it.

Can you imagine also having a healthy Hansbrough and Abbington actually looking like a 4 star?

I think the one run Chase had was pretty close to a "4 star" run. I'd like to see him get a few more chances.

I agree. It could have been worse for USCe. Really thinking about it, conservative was the right call. Cocks were a good team to get Mizzou's run game going and build on that. It's necessary in this conference to have a run game since our bubble screen plays haven't been to good. Good call by HCGP.
