Based on Pinkels actual quote, Steward is less than doubtful.

oh well, would have been nice, maybe.

Yeah, Steward is reaching "wonder if he's going to play again" territory.

Those hip injuries can be pretty damn bad.

Don't know anything about hip injuries at all, but what do you guys think are his chances for next year? We are going to really need him with Murph and Hans gone. It's too bad because I've been excited about Steward since Staley.

Didn't one of our DL (Brantley maybe?) also play RB or FB in HS? And didn't he play in a goal line series or two last year? Could that be an option for us?

I was thinking the same thing. I was wrong about Josey not leaving and if Hansbrough goes pro I'll be wrong again when I say he'll be back next year. Additionally, we'll have Abbington who'll have the JUCO experience and 2 years maturity. I'm excited to see him and will bet he ends up the #2 back next year before the season is out.

I seriously doubt Hansborough would go pro, but who knows. We are bringing in 3 backs in this class though. Abbington should be ready to play after a couple years of JUCO and Strong is a just a beast. A guy that can play at 210+ with elite speed. Still have Witter and Walters as well. Think we will be just fine at RB.

As for Steward, who knows. I thought I had read that it was possible for him to be back by the UGA game, but doesn't appear that way. Hip injuries can ruin a career. Just have to hope for the best.

yea I'm assuming at this point, it's not just a hip pointer, which is painful for sure but not really debilitating.

I really hope it's not career threatening, Morgan seems like a hard working and really good kid, he deserves his shot.

Does Pinkel run crazy hard practices or something? Every frickin year we seem to lose key guys before the season even begins, I'd like to stop recruiting china dolls if possible.

Do you actually follow this sport and our team? It isn't flag football, and we have one of the best (if not the best) strength and conditioning coaches in the country with the awards and results to prove it.

To my knowledge, Steward was the only one who was sidelined due to injury before the season started, and those can easily happen in full-contact practices, which every college football team has.

Not happening.

Chase Abbington. Duh. Geez. God.

Ish Witter, like where have you been?

Trevon Walters, like he's here too, duh. God.
