Hello! Long time reader, first time poster! Excited to get in on the action. I had a question about this tailgating. I am an alum and now employee at Mizzou, and have been to almost every home game since 2010. That being said, I have never tailgated in a lot. I just bought a pass for Lot X, and wanted to hear from folks who have been there before. What time should I probably get there (7am?), and where should I go when I get in the lot? I just bought one pass. Thanks in advance! Can't wait for the game.

AKA Lot XXX or Lot seX

The best of all Lots, been there since 2013.

Be ready for tons of booze, it can get rowdy.

Ideally As soon as you enter the lot, that area is where its packed-in/parties, if you drive to the far back area(closest to stadium blvd) you can relax and play catch and set up tons of different games. No matter what, you're at home in lot X.

Typically you wanna be there, to find a great spot, 4-5 hours before kickoff. But with it being HC, I actually have no idea when.

Re: Lot X.

The earlier that you get there, the better the location. You want any of the grass areas along the sides. This gives you more room to spread-out. If on the pavement, suck it up and make the most of it.

Leaving X is a b-i-t-c-h. Drunks are a bitch. I don't miss X at all.

1. Grow thick skin.

2. Lot X used a be a lot of fun with younger folks, until the fun police started cracking down. Haven't been in awhile, but it usually filled up pretty fast.

3. Welcome.

I miss the old Reactor Field mosh pit days, when it was pure chaos.

Favorite Reactor Field memory from the early 2000s: after a game, most of the crowd having filtered out, one stone drunk redneck student was running around tackling various trash bins and other inanimate objects.

There was a small trash bonfire going in the middle of Reactor Field.

His drunk friends started yelling "TACKLE THE FIRE!" He started looking at the fire, sizing it up. We all joined in. "TACKLE THE FIRE!"

He backed up, got a running start...and tackled that goddam fire.

Instinct kicked in and he was able to roll on the ground enough to put out the fire that was now raging on his jacket and pants.

It was a very good open field tackle though.
