I hope some day soon we both have good teams that meet in something relevant in a post-season setting. A bowl game or March Madness meeting would be one hell of an event for both schools. I'd dust off the black flag.

Consider yourself in the extreme minority.
After a relationship one person usually ends up in a better position than the other.
We landed the smoke-show 9.
kansas is stuck trolling Tinder for dates.
frick em.

I'm from KC and I say frick 'em. We don't need to play them and have no desire to. I like it just the way it is now.

I mean this in all honesty, you guys would rather play Arkansas than kansas?
I'm afraid you all drank to much "SEC kool aid."
Take conference affiliation out of it. If you tell me that basketball season feels complete without a kU game, I'd color you a fairweather fan. Football at arrowhead, nothing better (at least when we were both good)
Or do you all really enjoy empty SEC arenas for Mississippi state or Vanderbilt that much?

I hate Kansas as much as the next guy but they would land in a Power 5 conference. There BB, academics, and KC TV market would assure that. And Kansas does have money. KSU and ISU are the ones that really need to be loyal with the Big XII because they neither one would end up in a Power 5.

Kansas wants no part in scheduling Mizzou, but look at it from their point of view. They have to be overly loyal to the Big 12, it's their only shot at staying in a power 5 conference. They need that conference to stay relevant and viable or Conference USA awaits. So they need to be the leader when it comes to hating Mizzou for the SEC move. the other former Big 8 schools don't hate Mizzou for leaving, because if the Big 12 dissolved, most have viable football programs and will be snatched up by other power 5 conferences. As someone pointed out, football rules, and who the hell is scooping up KU if the Big 12 went away?
So I pity them and their situation. It's like standing up for your fat, disgusting spouse because you know you can't do any better.

I also think this is all on Kansas. I don't think the Big XII cares if they play us. OSU has and KSU will.

If the B1G had its way, they would do anything to damage the SEC at the same time enhancing its image.
Having said that, the SEC offers too many positives for Missouri to ever be lured away.
Missouri has been down that road with the B1G already and I don't see that issue being revisited. Going to the SEC was easily a 100 year type decision that wasn't taken lightly. Missouri was put into a situation where the Big XII conference could have easily imploded around them. Missouri was loyal to that conference until there was no other option given to them. Texas A&M divorcing Texas facilitated the rare opportunity to join the SEC and Missouri didn't hesitate.
Missouri came into the SEC as a full member with all rights and voting privilege as if it were a founding member. It came into the league with no financial shackles to keep it in the conference unlike the one it left. All members of the SEC are free to leave if they want to. All revenues are shared equally unlike the one it left. Speaking of revenues the SEC payouts to member schools are phenomenal.
No junior memberships like the B1G offered. Does anyone seriously think Missouri wants to leave the SEC other than in a beakers wet dream?

I totally agree with what Alden said. If they wait too long to start the rivalry back up it won't be the same.

Nah, I think everyone realizes that we are in the SEC for the foreseeable future. I think the B12 will add 2 more teams and we will see stability again.
