Gabe seems to insinuate that Rhule is off the board. I guess the interview didn't go well.
It's going to be Odom, and thank god it is. No matter how Rhoades arrived here, I'm glad he was able to sort through the noise and hire the best coach and the best fit for us.

Mack Rhodes could be negotiating with Odom. I think we all agree he doesn't deserve as much as GP to start.
If you jump too soon, you end up paying Odom 3.5 mil instead of 2.5 mil. Odom wants to be the HC of Mizzou but will settle for Memphis.

Let's not forget that Mack Rhoades could also be Castiglione-ing us. He doesn't want the major employment decision he made while at Mizzou to be Barry Odom.

Technically the job has to be posted for a period of time before they hire anyone. State law at a public institution.
Beside that though, Rhoades is doing his due diligence exactly as he should be.
Gabe and Matter have both predicted Odom now, more or less.

I'd say if Rhoades wants Odom, and nothing has been announced today or tomorrow, then one of two things is happening. One would be Odom decided to interview for the Memphis job and is leveraging Rhoades. Or two, it's simply not Odom. I don't think you would turn down an SEC HC job for a job at Memphis. I also don't think Memphis will out bid Mizzou for a HC. So, if nothing comes out today or tomorrow, then it's probably not going to be Odom. Although, Odom I could live with.

Odom is the best choice if you can't get any of the big boys, like Patterson.
As long as he cuts the bullshite and cans Henson and Ricker, and gets some real offensive coaches in here, I'm fine with it.
And it has nothing to do with him being from Mizzou. I think he's gonna kill it.
