Some posters here still use the protests as an excuse. Rhodes sandbagged us on Rhule, and he has built SexAssaultU into the number 7 team playing OU tough. I really hate that guy. Now here we are starting over again.

The protests were why Rhoades left.

I personally hate all of the people involved in 2015.

Hopefully with the ouster of Barry Odom and most of the Mizzou staff, the stench will be finally expelled.

I know I've wondered IF Maty Mauk doesn't implode...

- Does Mizzou only win two of their final eight games not starting a freshman Lock?
- If they're in the 2015 East race do the players threaten to strike?
- Does Gary Pinkel still resign at season's end?
- If Pinkel stays does most of the staff scatter to the wind?
- Do we maintain the 2013-14 momentum and avoid being a .500 program for the last 5 years?

You could make an interesting case Mauk flaming out was a program changning turning point.

When the QB isn't making the right decisions off the field, the team tends to fracture. Sound familiar?

The protest was a media sham and anyone with half a brain knows it.

My favorite was when the President allegedly hit the person with the car, what a fricking joke

Rhule sure would look good roaming the Mizzou sidelines, damn.

Wasnt the very basis of the food strike because they were getting rid of some Grad student pay stuff? Then it didn’t get a lot of coverage so the rich kid who stopped eating said the president was racist?

The sad part is there are people using that as an excuse for poor football play. Rhule rebuilt a program that truly had a national scandal while Odom was selling us on a rebuild.

Rhodes outfoxed us and we didn't even see it coming.

Some dumb fans are.

It is one of the main reasons we lost 15,000 fans in average attendance YOY. It’s not the reason they haven’t come back. The bad football has caused that.

I have no ill will towards Rhule, but I guarantee that Rhoads acted in bad faith while under contract here.

Oh, there is NO DOUBT. But we would have looked like assholes if we had said anything.

He pulled off the perfect crime.

You have to be pretty naive to pretend they’re not related.

I have a friend that was getting a master's in religious studies at the time(wtf get a masters in religious stidies). She was a Spanish TA. Completely up in arms about the grad pay thing, went to the protests. I had to explain the player protest thing to her. Granted, that's only one story, but it is a boots-on-the-ground story.

You also have to be naive to believe narratives are not manufactured

I agree. The master’s students were up in arms about pay.

The initial triggering racial events were prior to the master’s protests, too, though.
