Comments on either or both games welcomed...

I'll be honest and say I haven't watched a complete Ole Miss game since Vanderbilt. I don't know, I've got to actually put in the time and watch a few Ole Miss games in the next couple weeks.
A&M looks good and scares the shite out of me.
I'd be the least surprised person in the world to see us run a platoon QB scheme against Ole Miss. I think Pinkel putting Franklin in and letting everyone know he's healthy was to get Ole Miss prepping for two quarterbacks.

Pinkel better not do that, it would be the worse idea possible. Franklin should be in there from start to finish no questions asked

I'd agree if we hadn't seen scared to get hurt again Franklin of last year. He's been a stud this year, but if he's last year's guy I'd be pissed if he's stuck in there alone.
Pinkel lost a lot of faith in him last year after the injury, and I don't think that disappears. It didn't disappear to me. If he's 100% Franklin it's dumb, if he's anything less than 100%, Mauk needs snaps.

I haven't watched Ole Miss either.
On A&M... The least they've scored this year is 41, so we have to plan on outscoring them. In my book that means attack-attack-attack, strategically going for it in 4th down situations, working the clock to our advantage with the running game - without sacrificing aggressiveness - and trying to limit JFFs quality possessions.
Manziel will turn it over (as he did again today), so ball security is a must.
I'm not scared, but it will take a near flawless gameplan to pull it off.
And who knows, maybe Old Man Winter shakes a Yankee fist at these southern bastards to finish our improbable run.

Ole Miss seems to have LSU's number in Oxford but other than that not much else. Living in Memphis ( 1 hr from Ole Miss) I see and hear enough of their shite to last this lifetime and 10 others.
TAMU is simple, score more than they do. We have to work on the Defense on the screen passes and too much pressure and JFF will kill us with his legs. TAMU defense is a joke. It will be a barnburner !!!!

Keep it on the ground as much as possible, and out of JFFs hands. Pound the running game with your committee of Running backs. Play action pass, don't be in a hurry, give your defense time to rest.
Defense: LANE DISCIPLINE, DAMMIT!!!

Ole Miss OL is not that good. Mizzou have to worry about Ole Miss' wr's. But should be able to get good pressure on Ole Miss' QB.
TAMU defense is probably one of the worst in the SEC, Mizzou will eat them up. And we know what happens when TAMU faces a good defensive front....look at Auburn and Bama. LSU will also work TAMU's defense.
Both games for Mizzou are very winnable.

It may be my twenty years of Mizzou fandom speaking, but I don't see how we beat aTm this year. Their O is stupid good in a way that will expose our secondary. Getting pressure on JFF is awesome, but if there's a single fricker in college football that can operate under pressure, it's him.
I'm waiting until I watch Ole Miss stuff before I'm nervous about them.

Mississippi State scored 41 on them in CS. And they missed quite a few scoring opportunities. We'll have our chance to put up numbers. We will need a few stops on JFF and we'll need to control the clock. It's possible.
We will probably need to put everything together and get a couple breaks. But I think it's definitely doable.

final game score of today's action for both Ole Miss and aTm leave me thinking our last 2 game are definitely winnable. But Mizzou will need to bring their best game... blunder free and fired up!

According to Bill C. at Rock M Nation, Mizzou's win probabilities against Ole Miss and aTm before the Kentucky game were 58% and 69%, respectively. They were 43% and 60% when conference play began.
For a reference point, the win probability against Kentucky was 96% (66% when conference play began).

Just think, if UGA beats Auburn next saturday you better believe Mizzou will be fired up for the Ole Miss game. Mizzou will clinch the SEC East with a UGA win next week and Mizzou win vs Ole Miss in 2wks because of the tie breaker over all SEC East teams.
ETA: I'm sure UGA will beat UK in 2wks.

This is all I'm currently worried about. I'm considering doing what I said I'd never do and wearing another team's icon for the week.
Winning the east would be sweet.

JFF throws a lot of jump balls that Mike Evans catches. If we can pick off one or two of those jump balls and frustrate him we will do fine.
LSU might bang him up also. A lot of hitting going on in the LSU/Bama game

I've watched all of the Ole Miss games (YouTube); they flash some greatness but are very inconsistent. They are pass-happy for sure so our corners will be tested, but their O-Line is no match for our D-line. It's interesting that their receivers are big but not fast; they have given some corners problems but you have to think our corners are ready after practicing against our bigger and faster receivers.
I don't think defensively they can hang with us so we will score at or above our average.
Barring a bunch of mental mistakes we should be able to handle these guys.

The key to both games will be our pass rush. It was very evident that Manziel makes mistakes when he's chased around the pockets he also makes great plays quite often.
Honestly the A&M game is simple, stop them a few times on defense and roll over their pathetic D. This is a game Pinkel will have no option but to blaze the ball down the field for 4 full quarters and not just his typical 2.
I think what most people don't see in the scoreboard is that Mizzou could have hung 60+ on multiple teams this year if they wanted, Pinkel lets off the gas waaaaay before most coaches do.

I have never taken off the black and gold. If we played, I'd probably keep it on. With the bye, I'm sporting UGA.
