My initial reaction to the schedule:

1/6 @Georgia LOSS
1/9 Auburn AUB LEAN
1/12 Arkansas ARK LEAN
1/16 @SC LOSS
1/20 UGA LOSS
1/23 @A&M LOSS
1/27 @Kentucky LOSS
1/30 MSU MIZZOU LEAN
2/3 Ole Miss LOSS
2/6 @Bama LOSS
2/10 @Vandy LOSS
2/13 UT MIZZOU LEAN
2/16 SC MIZZOU LEAN
2/20 @Arky LOSS
2/23 @OM LOSS
2/27 A&M LOSS
3/1 @LSU LOSS
3/5 UF LOSS

I gave Mizzou the lean against UT because it's at home and because I felt bad because my initial reactions had so few wins. So 3-15 in conference. Pair that with a 7-6 OOC and we've improved to 10 wins. If they can steal a couple of the other games they can get to a dozen wins.

Som bitch, that is a lot of SEC Network games.I get the team was a disaster last year, but hoped a few more games would be on ESPN or ESPN2.Looks like I'm going to have to upgrade to another tier.

Yeah, I was a bit shocked. Even SC has like 6 games on one of the ESPN's.

I got a feeling that Mizzou will be much better than last year, but I can't look over the schedule and find many games that make me say yea Mizzou is going to win that one. Arkansas maybe, they have had a lot of attrition over the offseason from injuries to arrests, to failing to qualify.
Anywhere from 12-18 wins is foreseeable.

I think 15 is our ceiling.

Real question: will we have an offense?

I think the offense will be much better.

There should be 3-4 guys that can break defenses down to create shots for themselves and others. I also think that there are 3-4 plus outside shooters this year. (Wright, Payne, CVL)
Last year was almost historically bad at 2 pt shooting. Just getting up to average on those shots will boost the teams scoring by 5-10 ppg.

Pretty reasonable even if slightly more optimistic than myself. I'd say 9-15 wins myself.

I just can't see more than 7 or 8 conference wins. BUT, that is improvement of some sort. I just think 3-5 is more reasonable.

Thank goodness we only have to play kentucky once.

Out of all the teams I didn't want to play, we only have to play them once, which is nice.

Alot of these teams have coaching changes and/or lost alot.

Georgia should be about the same, Auburn better, Arkansas worse, SC same, A&M same, kentucky, miss st better with howland, ole miss same, Bama worse, vandy worse, Tenn better. LSU loads better, Florida worse.

This won't be the same Arkansas or Florida that we are used to.

A&M will be better, IMO.

I don't see 12 wins on our schedule next year.

I'm sure Kentucky is glad too. WE would destroy their RPI if we played them twice.
