Remember this argument.

Defensive ranking 2017: 86th
Defensive ranking 2018: 79th

I think we can put that theory to rest. His pass defense has been atrocious for 3 straight seasons:

2016: 87th
2017: 108th
2018: 119th

That's what I hear. When we stop sucking, we won't suck.

Where was Mizzou 8 games into last season? And how does the schedule compare?
Alabama, Georgia, Memphis and Purdue were all top 10 in S&P+ offensive rankings last I looked.

Mizzou also lost both starting safetys and both starting defensive ends. Not having Frazier is a huge loss. Having all the DE from the 14 and 15 class transfer is less than ideal. Same could be said about all the DBs from those classes.

That’s life, man. You gotta suck it up and move on. Frazier hasn’t been here for a minute.

Dude they let Terry Wilson pass for almost 300 yards. A guy with no arm drove 80 yards in a minute. Terry Wilson's highest career yardage game before playing Mizzou was under 200 yards.

The hoops you clowns will jump through to defend Barry Odom's abortion of a defense are absolutely amazing.

Still held Kentucky 10 points below their season average.

Did their quarterback, who passed for 18 yards the previous game, not have a career day?

That’s what happens when you scheme to shut down Snell, which Mizzou did. Kentucky’s total yards and points were both below season averages.

That not on the defense, at all. They gave the Offense all game to do something. Dont be silly.

You're literally blaming the defense on a loss after giving up only 9 points? Is this a joke?

I dont care if the defense gave up 999 yards, as long as they dont put up very many points. points are worse than yards.

There are only a couple of reasons I can think of that Ryan Walters still has his job. Odom is an idiot, or Walters is blowing Odom daily. I kinda think it might be both. Also how many P5 coaches have put family members on their staff, and how has that worked out for them

I think people are mad that our defense is only giving up on average 5.7 points per quarter over the last 10 quarters. thats 22 points a game.

Remember that while "they" are rolling up 999 yards, "they" have the ball, which keeps "us" from scoring.

I mean, LB's aren't our issue?

And the few I can think of haven't been an issue.

You're confusing symptoms with the disease. The performance of the defense in different situations as opposed to the coaching decisions that created those situations.

You realize mizzou had an entire "half" to get ONE first down. One first down wins the game. Only thing I blame on this defense was the fact they didnt get a first down for our offense. But wait. Theres more. Just win one first down possibly wins the game, the denfse gets a turnover. I bet you $100 you cant guess what our offense does next!?

This is like the closest argument Ive heard of blaming a defense when you lose 3-0

No, im not. True or false, the goal of the defense is to not give up points?

True or false. holding a team to under 10 points on offense is good?, wait no, great.

Im like- speechless that people are yapping about the defense recently.
