If so, shame on you (unless you're into this kind of thing, see below).

Rams fandom is no different than dating/marrying someone who is still open to others while demanding your devotion.

Rams have been here since I was a kid. I can remember rumors of their departure since I was playing little league.

They've never been committed to this city, never, never ever.

The truth is this:

The LA Rams move to St. Louis was a deal with the devil.

It was a corrupt deal from stage one.

St. Louis was supposed to get an expansion franchise, but the devil and his demons had other plans.

The SuperBowl the Rams won was tainted in blood, murderous blood, no really, the owner was a murdering witch. This was attempted to be covered up by the bible thumping grocery stocking boy, Kurt Warner.

The franchise has never been clean. It's always been corrupted. Yet there has never been outcry or pushback.

The lack of truthful light shed on this franchise for all these years makes it impossible for a true narrative of their departure to be told.

The Rams should have never been here in the first place, yet StL will suffer the embarrassment of another exiting franchise.

If you've been a Rams fan you accepted a deal with the devil, unfortunately all St. Louisans will suffer the consequences of such a deal.

Meh.

This is about Kronke, his wig, his ego and his desire to create stacks of money like scrooge mcduck. Your story sounds all nice and doom and gloom but the reality is that its simply about one man. If Shad Khan had gotten the team none of this would be happening.

So pardon me while I laugh at your hindsight driven admonishment.

What a really bizarre comparison. Maybe it should be "shame on you" for even coming up with something like this.

Kronke is just the latest installment of the Rams drama.

The story started before him, which is the point.

The Rams came to St. Louis through corruption and misguided agendas, they'll leave the same way.

They won their SuperBowl with bloody hands.

And they have always been uncommitted to St. Louis.

From day one through to this current day they've had one foot in and one foot out.

Anyone that sincerely considered themselves a fan of this team doesn't care about getting commitment back in a relationship.

We took the team because we wanted a team and pretended like the real story didn't exist. The dealings that brought the Rams to St. Louis were corrupt to the core, it was all bad voodoo and it's playing out in the most devastating of ways.

People rarely want to see the full truth, they just want to point a finger.

No different in this case.

Kronke is moral trash, but there is more to the story.

+1. No fricks given.

Even if we never have the NFL again, we'll have the Greatest Show On Turf years.

The most exciting NFL football ever.

At some point, you have to cut your losses on an investment. Kroenke did St. Louis a favor by bringing the Rams to STL. Post-GSOT, fan support has become non existent, your stadium blows, and the franchise is certainly losing money. I'd probably leave too.

Its nothing personal, its just business.

haha, I've always wanted to say that to someone. I must say, it felt great!

Considering how abysmal the team has been for over a decade, I'd say fan support is actually better than I would have expected. I'm not one of them, but it amazes me that anyone would pay money to go watch them. Think I've been once in 10 years and I can guarantee you, I didn't pay for the tickets.

As an outsider looking in, its never seemed like STL has completely embraced the Rams. Sure, people talk like they love them, and the powers that be in Missouri all say the right things about keeping them there, but it's never seemed like a legitimate marriage between team and city.

I think its been hindered by two things.

1. The last ten years have been god awful.
2. Kroenke is a heartless prick, with an eye only on his ROI, he cares nothing about the city.

The last time I really cared about a Rams season, Mike Martz was the coach, that's how long its been. I've since turned into a Chargers fan, and follow them much more closely than the Rams.

It's because they have not only sucked, but the overall mojo of that franchise is just boring and stale. The games in STL that I do get to see on TV look sad and depressing. All the momentum they had in the early 2000's has been washed away.

If they do move out here, I'll become less of a fan. They will become another annoying LA team with annoying fans, just like the Dodgers and Lakers.

The Rams have always felt forced and disconnected to me, I'd have rather STL got a new franchise and started fresh back in the 90's. Getting a team from another city never seemed completely kosher to me.

Also, from an outsiders perspective I can tell you that no one thinks STL is a football town, nor does anyone believe the city deserves another shot at a team. If the Rams leave, don't bother wasting the funds to build another stadium. The NFL isn't coming back.

It's a completely corporate and stale environment and always has been. It was like that even in the days of tGSOT. They were much more fun to watch on TV in those days than to actually go to a game.

Started with PSL's. On average, you're not going to get the blue collar fan to pay for PSL's. Follow it up with a stadium that is not conducive to tailgating in any fashion. Then get inside the stadium and it is all stale and boring with more interest in selling ad space than providing fan entertainment.

I have always called them the anti-Chiefs when it comes to fan support and fan experience.

btw - if they go to LA and are this abysmal...there will be zero fans in the stands.

I'm just so confused how STL can be so loyal to the Cards and not give two lucks about the Rams. Y'all won a Super Bowl in the past 20 years, you can't ask for much more than that. I would hate to see what would happen to the Cards if they were terrible for 5-10 years.

Being a Royals fan, I don't care how bad they are, I would fight tooth and nail for them to stay in KC.

Different cultures I guess.

It's about the history. The Cards go back over a century. They've provided countless division and league titles and a good chunk of World Series titles.

The Rams have only been here a short time in comparison and have just never felt like ours. It would be like adopting a child but they were 27 years old.

And the Cards have had their lean years. Look at the 70's and most of the 90's. Love them or hate them but the new ownership and Tony Larussa really changed the culture and climate int he clubhouse from the late 90's on.

It's really very simple, you're comparing 100 years of tradition of being one of the best of all pro franchises with many championships to that of a team that's been in town a couple of decades(gee has it been THAT long, really?)and made one big splash, yes they did win a Sbowl.

It isn't culture at all really, it's the magic of history.

Say the Chiefs moved to Albuquerque and the Bronco to KC, even if they won big in the first couple of years, how big a KC Broncos fan would you really be? Hope that helps.
