They're not under oath.
If I was Alden, after the last coaching search, I'd tell any agent that as soon as their candidate is linked in a serious way to the job, they're out as the leak is coming from their end and Mizzou isn't going to be "GetYoseffARaise" U.

New poster on TB says it's Underwood.

Usually not something worth mentioning, but with all the dumb shite going down on TB, Nick gave him mob immunity.

So Nick is bought in, for whatever that's worth.

He wouldn't but Alden's bosses would. He would be found incompetent if he didn't call.

But we all know he did and sealed the deal. Kilgore is right!

Yeah, if it's Underwood I would be shocked, pleasantly so though, if Wright and Gant stick and stay.

Dayton and Xavier have both told reporters they have not been contacted. This really has the feel of Alden sitting with his thumb up his arse while a consultant deals with it.

Underwood could be good FWIW

WSU banquet is over. No news.

Marshall was asked as it was winding down if he had anything extra to say. He thanked a lot of people and said things like "The best is yet to come."

Dude sounds like he's staying.

Can have many meanings. I admittedly didn't watch the whole thing but I'll admit I tuned into what I believe was the banquet and he talked a lot about how there's more work to do, the best is yet to come and those kind of generalities but I never heard him say he looks forward to coaching THESE young men next year because there is a lot of work left to do AT WSU.

Ok, maybe I'm grasping at straws. But seriously, what's he supposed to say at something like that?

Even if he stays this year, he's not staying forever. So... Whatevs.

I'm resigning myself to Howland.

So you're saying there's a chance.

Screw this crap. I said Marshall wasn't going anywhere for 6 months based on some pretty solid Wichita-based info from a co-worker who lives there. Why I let myself get sucked into this is ridiculous.

I think there is a tremendous chance! I watched his face closely on big screen as he spoke. He has loved his time at WSU, but I think he would love to move on to a major university and the timing is perfect with his recent coaching awards. The only bad part is the son who will be a senior is HS. But maybe he has been promised something that will ease his pain.

If I am wrong, I will be shocked.

Again no words like "I look forward to next year with program....yadayadayada...."

bingo

He also stated "thank you for the last seven years" this was within a minute of being done speaking...

Campus is great, but neighborhood not so much, if I had to resort to street parking. Anyway, I went early and alone, so cut me some slack, will ya?
