The more you hear about the new Mizzou baseball staff the better it looks. Maybe not super huge names but people who make things work.
College baseball isn't huge up there right now but with a couple of years of solid teams, maybe a CWS run, then I think the fans will turn out to support Mizzou baseball.

Bieser is a good coach. I'm confident he will win a few more games than TJ. I dont think winning just a few more games is gonna garner a huge change in fan support. As for a CWS run, I'd be pleasantly surprised if it ever happens.

Mizzou sports generally take about elite level winning to really get fan interest.
When the football team is winning 10-12 games in a year there are great late season crowds.
Similar case has been seen in wrestling, basketball both men and women, volleyball, & softball. All have great attendance in years where the team is top 10-15 nationally, not really so in other years.
Be a threat to get to the CWS yearly and fans will be at the games.

What's the over/under on we hired the only coach that would come here and we're still a dumpster fire?

I can see why he nailed the interview. His progressive approach is very impressive. I'm sure you get a lot of "Well, we are going to work these boys hard, graduate em, and win a national title" type stuff in these interviews.
If someone comes to the table with this kind of stuff I can see why Rhoades was so impressed.
He's a fine coach. His record more than proves that. His challenge, and this is true of any coach we would have hired because of shitty facilities/fan support, will be getting the players in here.

I know recruiting rankings don't guarantee success, but Mizzou has had some decent recruiting class rankings the past few years that I've seen. So maybe he won't have a huge disadvantage.

Hallmark made official.
Is bringing lance Rhodes from Semo. Guess time will tell on him but I have a hard time believing there weren't better candidates.
Sounding like Evan Pratte will stay on staff as director of baseball operations.

Hallmark and Rhodes coached pitching, is Hallmark coaching another position?

No, Hallmark will be the pitching coach and he's a BIG TIME hire

people in CoMo and surrounding areas should be enjoying Spring days and Nights of MU baseball and Softball.
ZERO reason why the slapdeacks cannot do their part to support these programs.

Lawson was the guy who pioneered the pitch recognition system that Matter wrote about.
Was currently working as the hitting instructor for the Astros Class A affiliate

Will certainly give them all a chance but I have to believe we could have done better than 2 Semo guys. my concern is I haven't heard much about either as a recruiter. Anyone hearing anything?

Rhodes was an assistant at wabash valley juco and Semo.
Dillon was an assistant at lindenwood, assistant at morehead state, Semo and just started this year in single a short season for the Astros.
A little underwhelming but we'll see. I think I would have felt better if it was just one of these guys, preferably Dillon as we already got a good pitching coach in hallmark. Would have liked to have seen the other spot filled with a proven recruiter

Well, I think it was pretty important to add Lawson. One could argue he was a huge reason that Bieser had the success he did at SEMO and Lawson parlayed that into a job with the Astros. Not bad.
He and Hallmark seem like pretty damn good hires to me.
The other guy, don't know much about him. So we'll just wait and see. Hes the only guy that Bieser truly brought with him from SEMO so he must think pretty highly of him.

Supposedly Lawson is a volunteer assistant in which case I feel better. SEC assistant may get him more visibility but strange to go from a paying gig in pro ball to a non-paying gig in college
