I assumed that it was a ludicrous enough statement.

Well, if you ask me, I think Sterk made his first mistake as AD because now he's gone and pissed off the donors and alum who were close to Link. If he was fired for doing something inappropriate then I get it, but it looks to me and everyone else that Link got fired simply because Sterk didn't like him.

Why do you say that?

This is why. I hate to see him go.

I don't know. That's why I was asking. It would be pretty surprising to me if he did something wrong, but the way the release is worded kind of sounds like it.

Wow

Gary is MR.Mizzou now, with Coach Caddy passed away. I can see moving him around, or making a new job for him, but firing him, because of that seems lame.

This better mean that Barry is also fodder for his termination pen. Dont get ballsy with a peon, and keep the real problem

I don't see what Odom has to do with Link?

I'm not getting the connection here.

I was surprised to see he only made 52k a year.

Mizzou has a shitty history let's face it. Clean house and get new blood up in this bitch. At least Cuonzo does not have to worry about Link showing up at his door.

A familiar face replaces Link.

Why? I’ve always liked him. He’s done radio analysis in the past

Gervino is fine. Nothing wrong with him doing games.

I don’t know...I just never liked him much on KOMU as a sportscaster. Im sure he’ll be fine. It’ll just take me awhile to get used to him. I listened to the KU exhibition and watched it online....(yes I paid the $40 bucks) and he sounded slow and calculating in his analysis. Like he was afraid he was going to make a mistake, or he didn’t know what to say. Just my take..no biggie.

Why did Winslow suddenly leave his radio job way back when? I never got to listen to him. I remember him doing some TV for FSN years later.

Gervino will be fine. I think he will navigate the balancing act between commentary and University employee far better than Link did.

I watch most games on TV now, so I hadn’t heard how much Link was losing his touch. I used to really enjoy listening to him when most of the games weren’t televised years ago.
