Just got home from Sprint Center.

Good times tonight, but still too many dumb shots being taken.

Loved the effort and was entertained by Anderson yelling at his bench. Wife and I heard the word bullshite being thrown around by him. We were about 5 rows back and got a good laugh out of that. The other laugh came when the ref fell on his arse.

Overall it appears as though the team has some raw talent. Once the game slows down for them I think we might actually see some improvement. We shall see.

That ref screwed Anderson quite a bit tonight. It was nice to see him get put on his arse.

Too much standing around. Guys not getting moving to get open.

One thing I seen was several open players at the post wide open and not getting the ball. They are missing those open guys and taking shots to quick instead os working the clock with a good lead.

One good thing was we didn't see the weave very much. Or at least the never ending version they like to run.

Just not sure what to think of this team. There are glimmers of hope and then there are moments of head scratching. One thing I know, Rosburg shouldn't see the floor again. He can't finish on the offensive end and he's way too slow on the defensive end. Just play the young guys, bite the bullet and take some losses but get them experience. Clark just doesn't look like a happy camper. And maybe it was the shitty TV I was watching on last night, but he looks to have put on weight, and not necessarily good weight.

I like to see the emotion and the effort. It's just gonna suck this year from an execution and ability stand point I guess. Somehow, KA has got to find a way to add to this roster.

I'm sick of losing games like this.

Losses like this will become wins when this team matures a little bit, in my opinion.

The ball does need to go inside out. That can be done via pass to the post or drive and kick.
Most of the guys on this team will make a move to score for themselves. There were about 8 times that a player drove the lane, and should of kicked it out to a wide open shooter. But instead took a tough contested shot. It's not just 1 guy. I saw J3, Clark, MGC, Isabel all do this more than once.
Assists and scoring will go up significantly when this happens.

I seen a few kick outs and then missed shots from the corners. Problem with kick outs or relying on the inside out game is you have to have a dead eye shooter. If you miss a majority of those kick out shots, the other teams notices it as well and becomes non effective if you don't make the shots. I seen OSU do this to Mizzou towards the end of the second half. They made most of those shots and it opened up the lane for them. For us, it didn't. We didn't sink the shots like they did. Just what I observed last night. OSU was also pushing Mizzous offense out to the top of the lane. Sometimes almost to the half court line.

I watched either Clark or Shamburg dribble right past an open passing lane to Rosberg who was basically by himself wide open between him and the basket. Then OSU locked down the lane. I seen it again with some other players who had post down low. I see guys get the ball on the base line with a wide open route to the rim and they opt for a jump shot. Lob passes that should have never happened. It erodes the any momentum from a missed shot or turn over.

I also seen a lot of elbow forearm shots to our players backs that didn't get called. This was a very physical game down low. The refs tried to let them play but for some reason in the second half, the refs decided to see a lot of things the OSU way including those elbows. Mizzou was doing to them they were doing to Mizzou. Refs should have just let it play out. Rosberg couldn't buy a charge foul from the refs either and there were a couple that should have been.

I was most disappointed at the team not taking their time with a lead starting the second half. They could have made it harder on OSU by just running the clock and keeping OSU in their defense longer. This teams passing also sucks big time. Not fast and crisp like you would like. Good way to make their defense work harder without working your offense to hard.

I would still say that ball movement to a wide open shooter is better than shooting a contested jumper in traffic over 2-3 defenders.

This eventually will open the lane more as defenders will be less likely to help off their man.
