Signing day is April 14th, I wouldn't expect to hear anything until after that date. If I had to guess we only add the two JUCO kids since we have no one else visiting as of now and they're Loos and KA recruits and not Fuller, but usually assistants wait until after signing day to leave.

At some point, assistant women's coach Michael Porter should be hired by HCKA. He has a daughter on the women's team and another who will be here next year. He has three (maybe four) sons, two of which are big time recruiting targets.

I don't know if Porter is ready to be a head women's coach but he reportedly being linked to Kansas opening. Fuller is gone which is not going to help us go into next year.

Fuller did many good things but in the end he leaves on a down note. Some apparent problems with the Gant recruitment that caused Gant to miss the first 9 games and Fuller to be restricted with his off campus recruiting. He leaves with no recruits in this last class. As our lead recruiter that is a disappointment. Going forward this will be KAs staff. Will we ever know if Alden told KA that Fuller had to be a member of the staff this past season. Regardless I was thrilled that he was retained. Now it looks like it was time for him to move on.

I imagine those two are connected. Also, if a coach is told in January he will not be retained, I'm not sure there's a lot of incentive for him to continue to recruit.

Didn't he doctor some expense reports or something as well?

If it was serious, he would probably be terminated with cause at the time of the finding. Especially if by doctoring, you mean some kind of theft was involved. That is assuming it is even more than a rumor.

Well it must be more than a rumor if he was reprimanded for it.

Seriously? Getting paid every week is a damn good incentive & if he wasn't recruiting then they should have fired his arse a lot earlier.

If you're told you're getting let go and you're told you can't do your job, then you're not going to do your job.

Not letting a recruiter travel is like telling a car salesman he can't go out on the lot.

I doubt he would go there when he has an opportunity to coach 2 of his daughters next year.

This is a big piece that seems to have been forgotten on the message boards. The findings after an NCAA investigation for impermissible benefits resulted in a player being suspended for 9 games. Nothing is done to the school or coaches. I guess the NCAA was just being nice to us? The message board findings are that our asst coach was involved so the school or HC bans him from recruiting for a year and then fires him months later. Doesn't this seem odd to anybody else?

The self imposed punishment for our asst coach has also changed as people realize that can't be right. Originally he wasn't allowed to recruit at all. Then it was he couldn't recruit off campus. I think the latest is - he can't recruit by himself.

Meanwhile no legitimate media source has published anything about this despite it being a known fact on message boards for months.

Nobody else sees the humor in all of this?
