If the University of Missouri thought its concessions to Black Lives Matter radicals would boost its appeal to students, it looks like it made a big mistake.
Six months after the radicals garnered national attention with fiery protests against supposed campus racism — and with Mizzou’s school year set to start in August — the university faces an enrollment drop of nearly 1,500 students. And a potential budget shortfall of $32 million.
“I am writing to you today to confirm that we project a very significant budget shortfall due to an unexpected sharp decline in first-year enrollments and student retention,” interim chancellor Hank Foley said in an email recently.

National media drove it down Missourians throats by saying "quicker you except BLM, quicker everything will go back to normal". We bought into it, and paid the ultimate price.

Y'all had the misfortune of being the first big university to get hit with this and the media coverage it brought with it (since it was the first time it happened somewhere big enough people cared). Coming on the heels of the Ferguson riots Missouri was caught in the perfect shitestorm of media attention.
By now Universities have realized that if you ignore them or flat out tell them to knock it off or you will kick them out of school for disrupting the campus these protests will die out in a couple of days.
Mizzou will bounce back, though it will probably hurt enrollment for a year or so. It sucks y'all were put in that position but for all people laugh about it their schools wouldn't have done any better were they in your position. You guys just didn't see this coming.

Y'all are looking at this wrong. This could be a good thing. This was gonna happen some where and colleges are going to have to Change and so are people. Either be a leader and move forward or be relic and get left in the past.
