He's a good coach, IMO. I think he could win here. I'm not sure he's enamored with college coaching.

He's the 10th highest paid NBA coach. He has $15,000,000 guaranteed dollars left even if he gets fired tomorrow. How much money do you think it would take to make him

A. Jump right into college coaching with no break

B. Come to what is probably the worst P5 NCAAB situation and

C. Pass up on multiple blue blood offers that will come his way before and after taking our bad job?

At least $6,000,000 right? Then his assistant pool would be around $3,000,000 at minimum. Do you see that to be realistic? Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE it, but no freaking way that happens.

The NBA season won't end until late May or June. He won't be an option.
I think he stays in the NBA, even if he's fired from the Bulls.

He left his alma mater and his hometown because he didn't like the recruiting. He has also had health scares. He will never come to Columbia.

Doesn't want to recruit.
Doesn't care for the college BS
Won't come to Columbia
Way to expensive
Won't be available.

Good summary

I would add there are better options just from a coaching standpoint,

but he is a good coach

Don't think we'd do it, but both Sampson and Eustachy are both good coaches. Both have issues not really related to basketball though. Also like the idea of a Mick Cronin type hire. Don't mind the idea of Keatts I just think if your going young you have more of a crapshoot. Sampson and Eustachy both have legit coaching credentials and were both considered at or near the top of the profession at one time.

Sampson and Eustachy need to be way down the list.

Keatts has the recruiting background that Mizzou needs. He also turned a team that hadn't had a winning season in 6-7 years immediately.

Eustschy would be a natural (light) fit in CoMo.
