He’s no Brady Cook. I kid.

He was a 4* in high school and led his team to the Georgia championship. So he’ll probably sit the bench while we get rumors of his lack of focus.

Bet he ends up as the backup because I don’t see Cook ever passing effectively after his surgery if at all.

I bet Moore was brought in as much as the OC as a QB coach to spend a lot of time with Horn.

Edit: higher ranked as a HS recruit than I thought. Miami is a mess so maybe we got a steal. Reads like a much better passer in his write up. Seems like a quick learner too.

Hopefully we have a real fight between him and Horn.

Wasn't he a walk on? That is a huge difference.

Getting Garcia sounds as if Drink isn't fascinated with either Cook or Horn.

he took the PFO originally but a deal was in place that if he won the starting spot he would move to scholarship.

While that may be the case you always want to get more talent in the room

Agreed. Consider that Garcia is from the same recruiting class as Tyler Macon. Garcia was #8 on 247/ Macon #34. This provides nice balance for the scholarship chart as it relates to the QB position.

Also provides protection in case Horn hits the portal for whatever reason.

With 5 guys now in the QB room, surely one of them can turn out to be a solid D1-level quarterback. Right? Right?

And I'd be willing to bet that if Horn isn't getting lots of playing time, he'll either transfer or leave the team to concentrate on baseball.

Has to be at least one. 3 high 4* QBs and a one with 3000 yards.

I was starting to have concerns that Horn was "not all that" from Drink's refusal to even (barely) get him some reps last season. Add to that Cook was injured in the second game of the season and it really damped my hope that Horn was the guy to move us forward with our talented receivers' room. I hope I'm wrong, but getting Garcia can't be a bad thing either way.

Going to be fascinating to see how Moore handles this, and to see what level of involvement Drink will have.

I really think (And have heard) that Drink has handed this all over to Moore. The Wake Forest game was dramatic reality check for Eliah. But old habits can be hard a'dying.

But what a dramatic off season this has become. Spring ball will be as interesting as I can ever remember.

Garcia's team beat Horn's team in the GA 7A championship game in 2020 ...

Horn's team won it the next year in 2021 ...

If Brady Cook isn't 3rd on the depth chart next season ...

Well, uh, the Juco PWO might have a better arm than Cook . . .
