Looks great to me. It will be awesome on Saturdays in the fall.
It feels like we have our own league now, frick everybody else.
Should be lots of fun. I hope some Mizzou J-school types are ready to make a name for themselves on the SECN.

Why wouldn't they be? Excerpts from Scoter Hobbs article from yesterday.
"according to the Sports business daily, the SEC network for the most part is getting $1.30 per subscriber in the eleven states where the SEC has a footprint. $1.30 doesn't sound like much until you multiply by 90 million.
Per month!
If only half the 90 million in the SEC subscribe, that's still roughly 70 million. Throw in 25 cents for those outside the SEC footprint and that's another 130 million. Even if profits are split 50/50 with ESPN, that's well over 40 million.
Most observers think the SEC will shell out around 30 million per school with the profits from the SEC network alone. Considering that last year the SEC paid out 21 million per school. That's a whopping 51 million per year."
Anyone think that being in the SEC is still a bad idea?

I am beyond thrilled with the entire SEC move and with the SEC network. this is going to be awesome for the university. This league is incredible. I love the passion and fire that all the fanbases have. I think that I'm becoming officially SEC obsessed.

So far so good. Really like how all the schools are getting air time. Mizzou volleyball showed up already, you can't beat that exposure!

Yep, it's gonna be special.
I was worried about the ESPN aspect, but what a killer coupling. From day one, the presentation style is 10 times better than the B1G and PAC12 networks already.
I never watch ESPN, except for CFB, I guarantee I will tune in to the SECN, especially during those days when I'm home and nothing else is on.
Much like MLBN during baseball season. I now have another option.

Im watching the DVR recording now. Excited. Cant explain it honestly. From the Big 12 to the SEC has been a "no brainer" from my perspective. The simple way in which the SECNetwork trumped all other conference networks before it even launched is freaking awesome.
If the numbers for revenue turn out to be true the irony in Mizzou surpassing Texas in TV revenue brings a huge smile to my face.

Texas A&M passing Texas in revenue is what will hurt Texas most.
The SEC network had the smoothest launch of any cable network in history. The SEC on its launch date is already in 90 million homes.
Think about that.

I'm a big fan of the network already. Had it on all last night. My only complaint is not with the network itself but with Direct and what they charge me a month to have it in my restaurant. They like to put the screws to the business owners. $40 a month just for the SEC Network. Now, I'm gonna pay regardless, I just think it is a little steep.

Just out of curiosity, what do they charge for Sunday Ticket?
I've heard it's quite a bit for businesses,

Yes. Very happy with what I saw last night.
Although I hate the sensationalism of most ESPN shows, the ABC-ESPN presentation beats Fox by miles. Much slicker and palatable, visually.
Hopefully this becomes the kind of recruiting tool that catapults Missouri into the national consciousness of kids.

I dont have it. We just opened on Sundays so I'm still debating that one. I dont have a huge bar crowd so I may just stick with the Fox and CBS games. If the demand is there when the season starts I will call and order it.

I thought it was awesome! Better than I expected actually. Some of the people they have on there are a little rough, but I think most will become pretty good in a couple months. I really like the scroll they have at the bottom of the screen that gives scores from MLB and other sports.

$350 a year, usually split up over 6 months on your bill. But that is a Directv exclusive so it monopolized. You can get MLB Ticket for $20 a month.
Also, Mizzou 2014 preview is on Wednesday the 20th at 8pm Central time if everyone wants to set DVRs, autotune, etc.

I know what it costs for a home sub.
I've heard they charge bars and restaurants thousands.

$15 per chair per week. If you have 100 chairs in your establishment then its $1500 per week.
