Several blurbs on various sites have alluded to KA being "afraid" to bench CVL. What's that deal?

I suspect KA is afraid of benching him in case he gets the hot hand. ??

I don't know if he is afraid to bench him but I wish Walton would play better on defense so he could get in the game. Hughes and Barnett got worked when they tried to play stay in front of Hill as well.

At least Walton can score. CVL is a terrible defender as well as horrible on offense. He's a D2 player, should never see the floor at this level, let alone lead the team in minutes.

Neither are really good, Walton playing more might get Mizzou 1-2 more wins. Walton is pretty limited, good teams will take away his right hand and neutralize him. If he ever develops anything resembling a jump shot, then he could really be a good scorer in college.

Im in the same boat. I want to see more Jackson then anyone. Im not saying Walton should get 3 minutes, but im also not saying he should get 20

If KA would spread CVLs minutes out all of Walton, Jackson, Barnett & CVL could play around 20 minutes. At that point KA could basically go with who is playing best that day.

The record would still be the same and the result at the end of the year will still be the same. Like the kids or not, we just aren't going to win anything of significance if most of those named are getting 20 minutes.

CVL has very compromising pictures of KA in action.

Yea the record wouldn't be much better. We could figure out who is worth keeping. Both Jackson and Walton could be good college players, if they are developed.
Neither can hit perimeter shots, which is the biggest issue for them.
It's a KA/coaching issue that this is now the third straight season without any competent outside threat.

KA doesn't do that now. He sat Geist after he was outperforming everyone against Illinois.

He doesn't seem to think about who's better on a given day. He defaults to who he believes is better generally. So as long as KA believes CVL is better, he'll continue to play.

CVL can shoot and play defense. Something most these kids can't.

He's shooting .333 from the field. The fact he's not last on the team with that percentage says a lot about our team.

He's a liability on defense.
