Less of need, more of a want ...

Senior PG who can score.

Unlikely he fits in the mix now ... but would be fun to see him come home for 1 season.

Caleb Love is a top 10 point guard that averaged 16.7 Pts, 2.6 Ast, and 3.7 rebounds a game. His Ast per hame is average, but his rebounding is really good. Honor averaged 7.9 Pts, 2.9 Ast, and 1.9 Reb’s.

Watched Love tear up Duke last year in the final 4 he around 30. If Mosley comes back that will be a really good scoring combo. Love, Mosley, Honor, and Lewis would be a really good backcourt.

Rebounding was the worst problem we had, but scoring droughts was a close second. If we had 2 scoring guards that could help stop the droughts.

It would be amazing if we had Love, Brown, and Mosley, but a good chance we don’t have any of them.

If mosley comes back?

Mosley will be the same shite show of bad decisions, with limited time on the court.

Love would be worth a shot. Imo

I think it’d be an amazing opportunity for Coach Gates.

If he can turn Caleb Love back to his Junior season, think of the recruiting pitch that is for any big name transfer.

I say why the hell not. Process East.

I watch a lot of UNC basketball. His efficiency is one of the worst in the nation. As a freshmen, it horrific. The worst efficiency shooter in UNC’s history.

His defense can be tight. But. His efficiency numbers in the paint should scare you even more than his bad volume 3 pt %.

And he’s not a PG. In any way. He’s a 2 with hero ball mentality that Hubert never bothered to or couldn’t reign in.

Huh? This past season was his junior year and he was an absolute liability quite often. Horrible shot selection. His career FG% is under 40. He shot under 30% from 3 this year. I take it you mean last year but he was only a 37% FG shooter last season.

Even his tournament run was masked by horrid efficiency.

40% against Marquette
16% against Baylor
45% against UCLA
35% against St. Peter’s
55% against Duke (retired K with that performance)

Then he helped shoot UNC out of the game in the chip by putting up a pathetic 5/24 performance.

Pure streak shooter who’s often been more off than off which is bad when you’re a volume shooter taking stupid Curry shots.

Love’s 3P% dropped 6pts, but his overall FG% was up. He lead the team in scoring 8 times this year. He wasn’t the top scorer in most of the games, but he was a consistent 15 to 20 a night guy and led the team in scoring. His best game was against Alabama when he scored 34 in a 2 point loss.

He will be a good get for any team. If he raises his 3P% he will be a great get.

If he signs with Mizzou DeGray, Honor, or Carter will probably leave.

Considering where we were before this season, we are in no position to turn down a player with his up side.

Ultimately, if gates accepts him, I believe in the vision.

On3 has Mizzou has the slight favorite to land Caleb Love over Indiana. They're pretty accurate for football, but who knows what they're basing this off of

Looks like Mizzou it is.

It sounded like the Indiana coaches didn’t try hard to get Love. That didn’t have a in person visit just a Zoom meeting. If they really wanted him they could have sent the Asst Coach to meet with him.

If Gates wants him he is probably coming to Mizzou. Illinois is a possibility too.

Well we don’t have to worry about what Love is capable of.

You all will be thanking yourselves not witnessing Love’s erratic play firsthand. There’s a reason he came back to college and couldn’t sniff a first round NBA grade. He’s not good enough.

Kobe isn’t going to sniff a 1st Rd draft grade.

The coaching staff at UNC had great talent and couldn’t put it together. I don’t remember a preseason #1 team not make the tournament. Starters are joining the portal and there is a reason for this.

Caleb Love will do better with a coaching change. Schools with good coaches like KU, Zags, and Baylor would probably have been a great place for him to land. Going to a 18-16 team and a average coach won’t help his draft stock.

No one on this team is a first-rounder.

Caleb Love changed his mind and isn’t going to Michigan.

Not getting excited about any transfers after Cleveland and Shedrick. We should have enough NIL after missing on the 2 of them. We will probably be in his top 3.

We still need a big, but Love would be a great pickup

If Ron Holland doesn’t get released by Texas very soon Arkansas will probably go after him.

He didn’t change his mind. Admissions wouldn’t approve him.
