Wow. It’s almost as if “random fan club” Twitter account knows what he’s talking about.

Drinkwitz said he had someone in mind to replace him if he leaves for the NFL. Remember the former LSU coach that Drinkwitz added to the coaching staff not too long ago?
"Eli Drinkwitz could promote his newly hired safeties coach who just happens to have Power 5 coordinator experience. Blake Baker, who came to Mizzou after one year as Louisiana State's linebackers coach, served as Miami's defensive coordinator from 2019-20 and before that held the same role at Louisiana Tech from 2015-18. Baker and Drinkwitz coached together at Arkansas State in 2013."

How was his time at Miami as DC? I'm going to guess it was not good.

He was good at LA Tech as DC and when at miami, Manny had his hand in everything on the D. Blake never had full control there.

Let's be honest, Miami's football culture has been "off" for a while. Along with FSU and Texas. It's hard to guage assistant coaches in programs like that.

I agree, and from what i can tell, LSU fans were sad to see him go.

LTechs Defense was ok under Baker. averaged about 45th in defense the last 3 of his years there, got as high as 30 something.

He's 39 years old. I like that. I don't hate the move tbh.

I do like that hes young, but with how the defense worked out last year, I wanted someone with a track record, but someone to gamble on.

Jimmy and Joes my friend

We’ll be better on defense this year simply because we have better players
