The Big 12 is a shell of what it once was. Riding the coattails of former members is about all they have left. I find it funny that their 5-on-5 about Oklahoma sports was basically ALL about the SEC.

The ongoing pissing contest of just how good is Mizzou will depend greatly on this year's cotton bowl. There is a lot of ranting riding on that game.

It's obviously pretty meaningless which makes that person that much more pathetic. My money is on either a couple people who got booted from the mizzou board at one time or maybe someone obsessed with mizzou. Porker certainly has spent more time and effort trolling mizzou than it takes to click a down vote so wouldn't be shocked there either.

I like how the article tries to put down Mizzou and A&M as not really Big 12 contenders. The truth is OU and Texas are not doing well, and when those two don't do well the Big 12 does not do well.
The rise of Baylor and OSU's success just highlight how much weaker the Big 12 is now then it was 2-3 years ago when Texas and OU were dominating everyone.

The Big XII will exist in its current configuration until the next major expansion of the four major conferences (ACC, B1G, SEC & PAC 12). There is no way the conference can survive with 10 members. Sooner or later Texas is going to take flight to one of those conference and that will be all she wrote..

I don't think the Big 12 will disappear, unless OU and Texas go to the Pac 12 which would be ridiculous.
I think you're going to see more ex Big East, AAC, and even some ACC teams join the Big 12 in the next few years, maybe even some MAC or MWC teams. Texas and OU don't want to go to the big conferences and compete every year with other NC contenders, they rather sit at home and beat up on TCU, Kansas, and other mid major programs.
