I suspected hiring Fulford was a smart move, but that was confirmed when UK fans were congratulating us on the hire.

Now that we landed Teki, I'm convinced.

I'm glad to see you're still a douche.

I've admitted I was wrong about KA so not exactly sure what you think you're winning at here.

Have to give KA props so far, and those of us who questioned this hire have happily acknowledged what he's been able to do. He obviously had a plan, and has done a bang up job assembling his staff. Question now is; if he is a better coach than a recruiter, as many of us thought, what does THAT portend for the future, both immediate and long term? Because what he's done (especially under the circumstances!) recruiting so far has been pretty impressive...

you forever deserve to get ripped for the stupid shite you post. you are the kind of fan that Mizzou does not need when times are tough. you couldn't even find a way to be open minded about the hiring of a true son.

not, you have some sort of issues with me and that's cool. Really am not going to lose any sleep over it. I'll tell ya what, so that we can get the board back to basketball recruiting, if you want to email me at mizzourant@gmail.com I'd be more than happy to discuss it more there. Otherwise, let's get this thread back to what it's supposed to be. And yes I'm addressing that to myself as well.

I figured this pg would bring us back up to three next year when shamburger graduates. But he's class of 2016. Assuming fulford gets him, do we run with 2 point guards next year or four the following year?

ESPN lists him as a SG. The tweet references PG. Sounds to me like it is the type of player KA is going after. Guys who can handle the ball regardless of where they play and who can play multiple spots on the floor. Kid is 6' 4", so I wouldn't expect him to be a pure PG, though I'd suspect he can handle the ball for us when needed.

ETA - Don't forget that he's also going hard after Whitt, a PG int he 2015 class.

I'm interested to see Kim's style of offense. It's tough for me to imagine a title contending team without a pure point guard.

I might not have been clear. I think that the team will always have a pure PG. Probably multiples. See how he brought in Shamburger and Isabell. But it also seems like KA puts a pretty strong emphasis with the other guys on the court that they too can handle the ball. In other words, it wouldn't just be give the ball to Pressey and hope he can break the press by himself. My statement about pure PG was meant specifically to that player. It doesn't seem he is a pure PG himself but yet is a solid ball handler. Again, don't forget, he's going strong after Whitt, who has expressed the desire to, in fact, be a PG because that's where he sees himself in the NBA.

I understand now. I just misread your post. I was still hung up thinking he was a point guard. I don't know much about jimmy whitt. If he weren't from Columbia would we feel as hard pressed to get him? Is he that much better than other four star point guard?

That I don't know. Whitt is certainly a top 100 player. Not sure off the top of my head where the 2 are rated, though they're also 2 different classes.

Thanks for the dates. Would say I like having the last visit, but didn't help much with Booker. Having said that, I really like our chances. I think KA has made up a ton of ground in his short time.
