will he be healthy enough for practice in a few weeks? 5 of our top 6 OL are seniors. Would love to see him get some reps this year and compete for a guard position in 2016

He is one of the top underclassmen on the depth chart on the inside. Probably a year away from meaningful pt

I would love to see some guys getting some game reps this year to prepare them for next year. Hopefully we can score early and often in some of these early games. Four of our #1 on the depth chart linemen are seniors. Would like to see guys like Cuellar/Howell/Adams/Bauer/Rhodes/Pendleton get some snaps. A couple of those guys will probably get more than just "some".

If these guys can come in next year without losing a step, we could be loaded on offense.

OL should really be the only question mark on the team in 2016.

Mansbro is the only other offensive player, but I think the 2016 RB question will be answered this year.

On defense Brothers, Dennis, & Simon will be the only losses.

i really like the backups/replacements at all the defensive positions.

If we figure out an OL for 2016 then that year could be special.

On a side note 4 of the 5 OL from 2013 will be NFL draft picks. The DL has had similar success from that team.

You read my mind. If you can get solid line play, you have:

QB: Mauk(Sr), Lock(Fr), Printz(Jr), Zander(So)
RB: Abbington(Jr), Steward(Sr), Strong(So), Witter(Jr), Walters(So), Williams(Fr), Doherty(Fr) - That depth might be why Taylor is hesitant to MU.
TE: Culkin(Sr), Reese(Jr), Blanton(So)
WR; Everyone except Leftwich

That's a shite ton production coming back with a years worth of experience IF we can put together that OLine. And I think they will.

Even more fun in 2016?

DE: Brady/Frazier with a years development
DE: Harris in what I think will be his Ray type year especially with what follows.
DT: Brantly as a senior with Hatley and Logan behind him.
DT: TBJ after a years development with Augusta and everyone else behind him.

That DLine could be just as special as any we've had as a unit. If they can find the book end for Harris, I don't know if we've had a better 4 at one time. Usually there's one guy who is solid but not a star, like a Hoch or something.

My question on defense is what do the likes of Scherer, Burkett, Penton do? Do they have good enough years to go in the draft? Penton or Scherer I guess seem like the most likely but even they would probably be late round picks, if that.

Unless Odom changes how Mizzou uses its LBs I don't see any going early. Historically Mizzou LBs get lots of tackles, but aren't really the playmakers of the D. So don't think any leave early.
Penton will fall into the Gaines prototype. Not quite big enough, or dynamic enough athletically to go early. But once he gets to the NFL will be solid.

If that's the case, our defense will absolutely be stacked in 2016.
