A walkon JUCO QB wasn't what I was thinking. I've resigned myself to Horn as the starter and Cook as an experienced backup.

My God, the potential this offense will have. There are more 4 or 5 stars at skill positions then any other star rating.

As far as Garcia, alot of people will see a JT Daniels comparison. and that's fair as an early injury derailed Garcia as it did Daniel's. If our OC/QB coach can develop Garcia for his offense and Garcia stays healthy this could be a Burrow type of move. Mizzou is loaded at WR and has the RBs to keep a defense honest. Garcia doesn't have to be a savior, he just has to have the skills to deliver the ball. I like this move alot.

Well stated, and I agree.

Would love another OL and maybe a proven TE once the portal reopens May 1st.

Hopefully the boosters can raise a lot money by May 1st and pay a few more good players.

Former 5* OL Brey Walker from Oklahoma entered the portal on 1/18. He might be a experienced player to look at. Probably gonna have to pay him a little more than most offensive lineman.

Hopefully others will not be targeting the same players that Drinkwitz and staff will be trying to get them on the team.

He's a 2024 recruit. Drink is a good recruiter, and if our QB situation gets solved we could have a good year in time to keep some of these local kids home next year. We blew 3 games this year (like the Auburn fumble), so we blew a chance to keep the top MO kids this year.

Thought he was a 2023 recruit, my bad

I'd love to be a regular non-Mizzou contributor to recruiting threads that y'all have, if that'd be fine

Honestly, we'd appreciate it, sometimes these threads go dead and most of us dont pay close enough attention to other schools so when we are in a recruiting battle, we dont have any info from the other side

Yeah, more quality OpFor guys (like Arksulli) make for better reading.

Thanks, I'll try to bring quality information for you guys

I'm going to say a few things:

Drinkwitz will be at the Senior Bowl practice today, he's gonna be on the trail soon enough, expect some good results after the dead period. Remember: No in-person recruiting until Febuary 28

I know that Nwaneri is a 2024 recruit but: Oregon's in the lead for Nwaneri but I like Mizzou's chances here. Feels like Kansas has taken a step back and Nebraska (with Rhule) has taken a step forward in his recruitment. Expect things to get heated soon, but just know that Mizzou will always be in the running for his services.

I also do know that Mizzou offered '24 recruit Maealiuaki Smith - dunno where that leads up to but my guess is that he stays in the west for now, anything can change though - Michigan State's knocking on the door so... we'll see. I think he's going to go to Utah/Michigan State - I don't know if Drink is going to recruit him that heavily due to the quarterback room he already has.

NSD is probably going to be silent for Mizzou (Not 100 percent sure tho), I think that Drink and co. are focused on the '24 cycle. That's it from me at least

I got sauces

Drinks strength is flipping local guys. If we win 8 to 9 games next year, I guarantee he flips a few blue chip locals.

But let's be honest, the transfer portal is sucking the excitement out of recruiting. If we don't sign a kid this year, we will get him when he transfers in 1-2 years.
