One of Rivals analyst said Parker's growth will be key to what kind of player he becomes. Says lots more growth is likely, given Parker's huge hands and size 15 shoes.

Body could develop into an OL. Apparently he is a heck of a guard at the HS level as well. Has focused on D exclusively over the last year or so.

I think 247 has the wrong weight for him. He tweeted something out awhile back and he was on a scale at 235 or so.

Wanted to correct something from above on Jackson. He had 172 tackles and 11 sacks last year.

That is a huge number of tackles. I don't care what level of competition, scheme, or any other factors contribute to it. That is getting to the ballcarrier and bringing him down a lot.

Sorry to be a downer here, but Parker hasn't looked too good on the camp scene. Against good o-linemen he has been getting beat and pushed around like a rag doll. I just saw a video of him going against the big boys and he didn't look too good. He has to put on some good weight and muscle and I think he will be very good. I still like him eventually at guard on offense. I still like the commit.

Some video of Micheal Thompson in one of the camps

He also just recently committed himself to playing DE as well. A lot of technique stuff he'll have to learn.

quote:

"He can do a lot of things," Donohoe said. "He can play D-end if he needs to. We’ve always told him he has such amazing upside as an offensive guard or center. It’ll be what Missouri wants him to do and Daniel will do what they need him to do. But he’s so versatile where he can play. ... He’s a good enough athlete, heck, he could play tight end at Missouri if they wanted him to." "He’s got to put some weight on and he will but Daniel’s very strong," he added. "He’s a great weight room guy, squat, bench, clean, all those things. And he’s a very good basketball player. He’s got great feet, great athleticism. He’s very smart. What I always tell people about Daniel is he's very explosive off the football, he’s very athletic and very smart. When you have that and combine it with the fact that he’s got long arms, those are great traits to carry. He’ll do really well."

Instead of posting a video of Thompson, lets see the video of Parker getting worked.

I can't find the video, but I will still look for it. Here's a scouting report saying the same thing about Parker needs to put on some solid weight because he's struggled lately against top o-linemen but this kid is good. He's just struggled recently but he was pretty good up to that point. He will be a stud at the Zou.

Scouting Report from Rivals.com Midwest Analyst Josh Helmholdt: "I remember not too long ago when the discussion was about which side of the ball Parker best projected to. That discussion seems to be over after he spent the whole off-season working out at defensive line, but I think it could be revived depending on his future physical growth. That growth means everything right now with Parker. At the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in June he struggled going head-to-head against the nation's top offensive linemen, but what was also evident there is there is a lot of physical growth ahead. He has huge size 15 shoes and big paws for hands, he just seems to need time to grow into his frame. When that happens, the four-star potential should emerge."

He more than held his own at the Rivals 3 stripe camp in New Orleans:

No one was getting by that big dude (193). He did look better coming off the other side against the other kids.

Didn't watch the whole video but the 1st half, I did like what I saw when he was on the OL.

That is Kardell Thomas, #1 OG in the class and LSU commit. He can ball.

Parker made a solid move back outside on him. Kardell's feet ended up about 7 inches apart and he had to get a hand full of the back of Parker's jersey.

A little bit older article on Trinity Catholic in STL but I snuck an early glance at the 2019 class in MO and they had 3 of the top 4 in that state, granted it's early. I never followed their football. Just knew their baseball wasn't good (sorry Trinity fans). So I tried finding some info on where in the hell they came from. Anyways, the article talks about some of their what were freshmen at the time and will be in the 2019 class. Pretty sure the QB has already been offered by Bama.

I'd say he looked good for sure. He got beat on one rep, but that kid is a monster who outweighs him by 100 lbs. he won every rep they showed at DE and won the DL MVP

He's a beast and a big difference make. Love that he was pissing off the OL too. Most of them were just holding the shiz out of him.

Trinity certainly has a talent advantage vs most of the schools they play in class 2A. Being a private school has it's advantages in terms of being able to "find" talent.

He was all district on both sides of the ball. He will hit campus physically ready to play MLB. QBing the defense is another issue but he can strike a ball carrier.

An offer by aTm might muddy the waters a little. They have 6 offers to inside LBs and all but one are committed elsewhere. The uncommitted player is a USC lean.

From an A&M recruiting analyst today on Twitter

Taylor Hamm? @TaylorHamm247 4h4 hours ago

Missouri LB commit Cameron Wilkins, a guy I first mentioned as a target last month, could be in-line for an A&M offer soon. Had strong camp

I hope he values being MUs first choice over being aTm's 7th choice.

I agree! I hope he honors the Mizzou commit.

I found 1 of the videos where Daniel Parker struggled a bit, but as you said he was dominant in most of the others. He starts at the 2:56 mark. This is not a knock on Parker because he will be a beast at Mizzou.

Marcus Tank Jenkins and Micheal Thompson are both in this video, also. You need to watch the video to the end.

Texas A&M might be a little dangerous because they don't have a linebacker commit for this upcoming class.
