Puts extra emphasis on getting Babb, Brown, and Goodrich in 2018.

The WR group as a whole is probably ok for the next 2 years. Moore is the only senior.

Get 8 wins, 9 by way of bowl.

Show positive movement in the program.

Have a bang-up class in '18 and all will be good.

This class got the immediate needs it needed to get.

These WR's probably wouldn't have factored in to next year anyway.

This should help get Babb

Babb and Goodrich have been showing some love toward Mizzou, but I don't put any stock in that, because the bluebloods will probably influence them unless Mizzou wins the East next year.

Why are we worried? Kid is a really good talent but it takes a certain type of player to play for MU. Most of the kids that come here are blue collar. You gotta be willing to out work and play your ranking.

I wasn't too worried about Armstrong TBH. I think we can fill that spot reasonably.

I'm melting on this one though. 6'5" WR who run like deer don't grow on trees. We lost out big time here.

I can't say i'm devastated by the two decommits. Would have been nice to have them but they were both mid level 3 stars. Losing Daron Davis or Case Cook would have been terrible.

Losing gardiner is understandable since, being from texas, he has no loyalty to us. Plus, an offer from a perrenial final four team is tough to fight.

armstrong, however, sucks for choosing mediocre notre dame and turning his back on his home state. He will do nothing and finish at notre dame unceremoniously.

It amazes that these kids don't realize how going to their state school can benefit them way more than being another cog in the wheel at an out of state school.

I don't care about stars (good chance Davis doesn't qualify btw). Gardiner was criminally underrated. Athletes like that can't be found just anywhere.

Would not surprise me at all if he were to beat out a much of those 4/5 stars up there and become a major contributor for them.

This one hurts. No other way to put it. Our WR class fell apart within a week of signing day and it doesn't seem we have anything lined up to replace them.

Part of the issue is that we have 10 WR on the roster. Armstrong knows he will play from year 1 bc ND is thin at WR. Gardiner hurts some but he is a kid who fickle.

C'mon. We could have had zero returning WR's and they still would have flipped. The real issue is that we lost 2 recruits to 2 blue bloods. It sucks. But it's going to happen. I'd be more pissed if we lost them to an Ole Miss or a K State or some shite.

Agreed.

Both hurt, but neither is a sign of major problems IMO. Sometimes you just lose guys, and when OSU and Notre Dame come calling, a lot of schools will lose out.

We did the same thing last year to land Crockett.

It's not losing them. Can't really blame the staff for that. They recruited both of them hard. It's seemingly not having any legitimate backup plans.

Check this out from mubobby

quote:

Just heard the story with Armstrong. Turns out, he committed to ND before he even took the Minnesota trip. The whole time telling the Mizzou staff he was still committed and would definitely sign with Mizzou. Didn't even make a call to Hill to let him know he was flipping. Has made no contact of any kind since flipping. Pretty low and seemingly spiteful for no reason at all. Wouldn't be surprised if Grunhard had a big hand in this.

Contrast to Gardiner. He was actually going to pass on the Texas offer and sign with Mizzou. He couldn't say no to Urban though. He took the OSU visit. Took his time to digest everything. Called the coaches before going public (crying and apologizing for doing this to them) and then made his decision public.

Grunny gets a pass bc he landed us Shane Ray. Also we don't need guys like that around.

Are we still good on Aubrey Miller? He's the LB out of TN, right?
