He was the player of the year in Alabama. In a state that produces the 2nd most D1 players per capita, that is a solid year.

He would be another guy that will have to adjust to getting knocked off his route by defenders that are bigger and just as fast. Blocking your position at 177 lbs in the SEC will be fun as well. Jonathan Johnson does a decent job of it but he ends up on the ground 85% of the time when MU runs the ball.

The Jaylond Adams faced a far deeper pool of talent playing 6A ball in Alabama.

Their composite ratings on 247 are identical but navy nuke is right about the AL high school system being far tougher competition than ours.

Armstrong is visiting ND, but it still seems incredibly likely that he signs with Mizzou.

At least it's cold and snowing in South Bend right now. I wouldn't really want to spend my winters in Domerville.

It looks like Armstrong might be squeezing all the fun out of recruiting he can. Something about a final 3 now?
Not saying this is what is happening. But if I was an in demand HS player and committed to a school, I'd stay fully committed in the back of my mind but fully play out the recruiting process for as many schools as possible. I would purposely choose the rival schools to the one I'm committed to, wasting their time and resources.

That's basically what Beisel did with his visits, isn't it?

I just noticed Jaylond Adams is listed as an all-purpose back at 247. Makes me wonder if he's being recruited as an athlete. Similar height/weight as a recruit to guys like Josey, so presumably he could be a speed back. Or he could pull a Carl Gettis and show up as a cornerback.

You only get recruited once, make the most of the experience.

Sheldon Richardson begs to differ.

I swear these big schools don't even bother scouting these guys until programs like Mizzou find them. Why waste time uncovering hidden gems when Odom will do it for you? Just wait until you can scan through the commit list a couple weeks before signing day and try to poach who you like after spending all your time on "better" recruits before.

Still on the fence about early signing day. It could have both helped and hurt us this year and pretty much every year since I've been following recruiting.
I could see a scenario where commits of smaller schools would be more likely to not sign in the early period though.

I'm a fan of early signing days. It would help us (and others)when we don't go to bowls and the blue bloods have to practice. It would help level the playing field.

That makes me uncomfortable.
