The majority of the current commits are guys in the top 50ish of their position group. That has been about the norm for Missouri since about 2006. Player development and a two deep of 4th and 5th year players is going to be the formula for MU to put competitive teams on the field. The local recruiting base doesn't support much else and poaching out of state 4* players is unrealistic.

JUCO CB Octavious Morgan will OV this weekend. Definitely a spot we need some immediate help. He's good friends with Tyler Howell, so hopefully we can land him. He was once a Iowa St commit and shows offers from Arkansas, Baylor and West Virginia as well.

According to Rivals, CB Keisean Nixon is also coming in for OV,but we're not high on his list. Sounds like a free vacation.

Octavious like an octopus is a phenomenal name for a DB. Got to land him for pure name sake. I LOVE Odom targeting JUCO secondary as it's clearly a weakness and offer some these kids immediate impact potential.

We really need to go get a JUCO DT as well. Possibly two. We return Beckner (ACL), Utsey (ACL), Logan and Jacobs (never played I think). Who knows what position Josh Moore plays anymore, and it's entirely possible (likely) Utsey is not ready for the season opener.
Good news is that next year's class has several high level DTs in state, but even if we land those guys it doesn't help us next season.

They do, but the players retweeting out those offers with pics of their mascots does not always happen and is certainly not a positive sign of the recruits commitment level.

3* RB from my old neck of the woods will be in COMO this week end. He is an Oregon St commit and will be an early enrollee.

Yepp. I'll take Sunkett's word over anyone short of Thomas. Cusumano would probably be my next in line.
Plus, I suspect that the coaches will be all over showing Thomas the actual numbers. It's easy to look at the record and some of the outcomes and think it's dogshit but if Moore can put up solid numbers, so can he.

Gardiner has been confirmed. I really like this kid. He has unique size and he can flat out run. Think he may end up being a steal.
