Looks like we were able to beat out the likes of Tulane and Bowling Green for this guy.

Here is the thing. This was the first time we've done something like this and it seemed to be very well received.

It's a good idea from the new staff, and well executed. It can and will grow in time.

If we can get our facilities in order then I think Odom can be a good recruiter. Until then, he'll have to win the way GP did and I'm confident he can do that as well.

We've been begging for our staff to do something like this for years. I wish they would take notice from you guys.

I think it was a great event. The staff obviously thinks these guys can add value to the rooms they will be joining.

After sleeping on it, I think the event is a great idea and helps develop a buzz for the program. I just don't think that the real payoffs will be seen for years to come. Hopefully it is something they stick with and develop and improve in time.

This year so far? Yeah, a little underwhelming but it's year one. I don't think it's a question of whether these kids add value or if the staff thinks so. Obviously the staff believes so. I think the point is, based on the offers we were competing against, we probably could have gotten these kids down the road if we missed out on others. Then again, maybe not.

So to the new kids I say welcome to the Zou!!! I'll be pulling for ya from week 1.

You also never know what offers kids like Borom and Ford will pick up down the road. Like you say though, I too believe this event will grow and we did have several high profile recruits on campus even if they didn't commit.

Also, we seem to be in very good shape with Aubrey Miller, Deon Jackson, Larry Boyd, Chris Turner and Jamal Brooks after last night as well. Most of those guys are "higher profile" so this event could pay even more dividends in the coming weeks.

Yeah that's why I said then again maybe not. I know it's impossible because of high school football but it would be awesome if it could be pushed back a couple of weeks to get students and bigger crowds there.

As has been pointed out before, higher profile players like the spotlight of signing day and are reluctant to commit earlier. We won't really know how the evening turned out until February but it seems like a great start for Odom's tenure.

Also, #showme is a better tag than #mizzoumade

It seems silly, but Twitter is a big recruiting tool and I always thought #mizzoumade was kind of lame
