PM is reporting Mizzou will bring in 40-45 guys for official visits. So our current 12 commits plus 3 OV's already gives 30 or so OV'S left to uncommitted guys.

for this year? wow, I thought we only had a half dozen spots left at most.

Correct, for this year. Also sounds like we will take 20-22 guys in this cycle, so 8-10 spots left.

Wondering if Imatorbhebhe still thinks UF is an attractive option.
At 6'5" 200 pounds, I'd be more interesting in knowing if Khalif Jackson is second guessing his commitment to UF. He was pretty high on MU up until UF offered.

One of our in state misses got his first start, as a true freshman, at left tackle yesterday for Florida State.

He wasn't a miss. He was never interested in Mizzou. Can't miss what you didn't have a shot at.

Whatever you want to call it. An in state recruit who Mizzou could not convince to consider much less choose Mizzou then.

I strongly agree. He would be awesome at Mizzou.

4* Indy LB and former Michigan commit Darrin Kirkland will be in Knoxville this weekend.
If we can win big in front of him, do we stand a better chance of reuniting him with HS teammate Brandon Lee?

If he does, that would make 3, 4 star RB's coming in and a 3 star. All with good size. Have we seen the last of the 5'8" RB at Mizzou?

I hope not. I like diversity.
It does seem like Mizzou is doing some adjusting to the SEC though, doesn't it?

Guys on PM who know Doherty's family claim he's a lock for Mizzou and would have to be really blown away by Oregon to consider them. Signing a top 20 baseball recruiting class seems to have helped too.

Like the sounds of it but I have no doubt that an Oregon visit can blow someone away.
Posted on 11/17/14 at 9:05 pm to reedus23
That makes me want to go to Oregon.

I'd like to be blown away.
I can stand the peril.

I keep seeing rumors that Strong probably won't qualify. If so, it sounds like he will follow the same plan as Abbington and Taylor, go to JUCO for one year and then RS the second year, so they would still have 3 to play 3 once they get here. Let's hope he makes it. Maybe this is why we've changed our tone with Doherty and are telling him he'll start out as a RB now.
