Im a youth football/basketball coach in the stl area......& guess who joined my kindergarden Basketball team.......chase lil brother (Stephen Abbington).....I also was told some info about chase that I was shocked to hear. It was venom. I thought about that when I heard because I had talked about how quiet it had been about him. Next thing you know, his coach is hired. Shortly after that, he commits.

Am I an a-hole for hoping this story, whatever it may be, doesn't come out until After Feb. 6 so our class looks good?

Outside of actual offers made or commitments made, isn't almost everything else a form of gossip or rumors? But I hear ya. We'll leave it at what it is. I don't think anyone planned on carrying it further and I think 3 showed restraint in not telling more than he did.

Anyways, back to what a class man. I'm still grinning over how it's coming together.

Yes, class is kicking arse, turns out Pinkel can recruit, is Prime Prep really the dumpster fire everyone is saying. Can a recruit qualify with a decent ACT even if ur school is a mess?

That place is a complete mess. Looks like they're about to have their charter yanked, but for fiscal mismanagement issues. Their board and superintendent have been replaced by the state. It's also one of the worst schools academically in Texas, with kids routinely not qualifying. I don't see anything about it that would automatically strike Martin out. I imagine most are just scared off by the reputation and track record of the place.

It looks to me that Deion tried to set up a Hunting Prep/Oak Hill type place without knowing what he was doing. He got the hoops part right but was clueless on the academic end of things, on top of what looks to be no one having any management sense.

Complete cluster for all those kids. Latest is they're merging with some other prep school or something. Might be a last ditch effort to actually help the kids.

I don't know that Deion did anything intentionally. It seems others might have. I think Deion was just foolish, getting into something that he knew nothing about. Might have started well intentioned, though I don't necessarily believe that either. I think Primetime wanted to live vicariously through the kids since he couldn't do it anymore.
