Yeah but he's come out strong from the ASG. Just our luck this year that once someone gets hot, they get hurt. Is he playing today?

Well, frick you Wainwright.

Six runs? That's not the cardinal way, we shall trade you for Babe Ruth and Cy Young.

So Sox want Single A player Rowan Wick for Peavy. Cards want to give up no one and just take Peavy's salary off of the Sox payroll. I SAY PASS!!!! Do not want, even if it's just taking on his salary.

Something tells me they're trying to work out contract with Price and if it doesn't work will fall back to Peavy. Or if the Rays change their mind about selling. My guess to get Price will cost Taveras, Martinez(or one of the young arms up already) and a minor leaguer or 2. If he's willing to extend his contract, would ya do it? I'm leaning toward yes. Starting to get JD Drew/Colby Rasmus feeling about Taveras. Plenty of arms as much as I hate to let Martinez or whomever go. As much as I love Wacha, feel better with him being #3 or 4 in the rotation when he gets back.

Rowen Wick may be the real deal, no thanks.

I don't understand the desire to get Peavy, doesn't make much sense to me.

I don't get it either. I don't even want to take on his salary even if we got him for nothing as far as players go. Guy hasn't been good since leaving San Diego.

It certainly isn't a signing aimed at improving the team or making a playoff run. Simply replacing one hack for another hack.

I smell something big brewing.

Would you rather trade CMart or Miller?

I'd dump Miller. Once CMart figure out where all those filthy pitches are going he's going to be an ace.

No worries, it is just Billy Butler.

I don't know if CMart will be an ace or not. The difference between the 2 is that CMart COULD still be one. We have seen everything Miller has to offer and he's no ace. Trade Miller.

AJ P can't spell it is an upgrade from Kotteras, he's hit pretty well every year besides this year, and this year he still hasn't been that bad in Boston.

I'm happy with the signing. Not much else you can do in this spot.

It's now confirmed that Mo F'd up.

He sat on prospects and passed on deals last winter in hopes of having more leverage mid season, but it backfired.

Miller is now fully exposed, won't get half as much for him as we could've. He should've been packaged this winter, there is no debate.

Craig is done and Taveras is now more of a question mark than ever.

At least Mo still has his collection of scarfs, bow ties, and multi colored socks.

I'm happy with it now that he's here and hitting.

I think he was hitting like .240 and who knows what with the sabermetric numbers.

He arguably did the same thing with Freese. His value was never going to be as high as it was coming out of that World Series. He was never going to play at that level again but I think you could have gotten value for him as if he would at the time. Instead, didn't just sit on him another year, but wasn't it 2 more years, and just watched his value plummet.

So what are they saying it would take for Price? Or whoever else we're looking at?

I've heard Miller, Tavares, and the compensation pick for Price.

Then the sticking point must be Mo wanting to know he can sign him to an extension because those are a no brainer in my opinion.

I've heard Philly is asking outrageous stuff for Hamels. Boston somewhere in between for Lester. Problem with Lester is, it sounds like he'll likely test free agency after this year no matter what.
